Simple Jab

Five days had passed.

Planet Earth, Country J, City 3, one of the 60 cities in Country J, in a random hidden boxing gym, near there was a little boy in a ninja costume.

Fleeing in the dead night, near the dawn of light and the giant sun.

He was holding his lower stomach with blood, eyes with a dark circle below.

Erratic blinking eyes and incoherent breathing indicate that the boy was most likely losing energy.

"WHEEEEREEEE AAAARREEEE YOOOOOOOUUUUU????"

A voice resounded like a beast's howl in the forest.

Hunting its prey loudly to make the prey's spirit and mind rowdy.

It also weaken the foundation of their prey's heart.

'Shit!'

The little boy mumbled.

'I underestimated the lair of those gangsters.'

His hands have blood seeping out, while looking far behind.

'I should've investigated first that the top 183 criminals of the earth would be there.'

Scuttle! Scuttle!

The little boy's knees shook.

A shadow of a humanoid creature appeared in front of him.

"There you are."

It spoke.

When it revealed itself, the boy had a clear view of him. Seeing him, the boy furrowed his brow.

Such a disgusting fellow.

Wearing a smile and teeth that became dark violet because of the combination of diseases inside.

A phlegm coming out from its nose and ears, and a red eye with flies flying around.

Scratch! Scratch!

The disgusting man could not help himself but occasionally scratched every part of his body.

"Little boy, it's almost morning."

The disgusting man said.

Suddenly, the boy used his left hand to take something from his waist.

He could not use his right hand because it was stopping the bleeding from his lower abdomen.

So he was having a hard time.

"Ha! Look at you."

The disgusting man said.

Smiling with an ecstatic look, he stepped on his feet.

Round and round, dancing in circles while constantly scratching himself whenever a part of his body itches.

The boy took a shuriken out, pushed a button from the centre of it, and the shuriken released a series of flashes of lights.

The disgusting man did not even stop the little boy and just stared into the little boy's eyes.

"You see, you're just a boy in a man's world."

He said.

"And I am one of the men who like to play with little boys."

He continued.

The little boy in costume does not hear him as he throws a technological shuriken at the disgusting-looking man.

Swek! Swek!

The disgusting man only snorted.

Instead of evading, he spread his arms wide, ready to receive it.

It did not take long for the shuriken to reach him.

Bang!

The shuriken exploded!

Creating green dust everywhere as a distraction.

A shadow emerges from the centre of the smoke, coming closer.

When the shadow reached a specific limit out where the smoke was spread, the face of the disgusting man was revealed.

"It won't work!"

He said.

Walking out of the green smoke, he noticed the little boy had left.

His facial reaction did not change. He knew that the little boy was severely injured, and he would stop soon.

The disgusting man just wanted to make his hunt a little fun.

With the blood on the floor, the disgusting man followed the trail.

"Boy, you can run, but you can never hide."

At a boxing gym, on top of the shelf, there was a purse of the dead lady.

Steve will never throw that thing away or spend the money inside of it.

His hands reached out to it and pushed it a little, the tip of his finger to be in the position where it won't fall easily.

When Steve pulled his hands back, he looked up.

Revealing many things, the same as the purse of the woman.

They are things from the people he should have saved on time as he was late.

"Sigh."

Steve said.

"Time to train."

He continued.

Turning around, he could see everything in his boxing gym, it was clean, reasonable, and new, and it was wide too.

It has a variety of boxing gloves on the side and punching bags.

"Hmm."

Steve heaved a sigh of warm breath.

With this look of his boxing gym, he was melancholy.

He remembered how he came to love boxing.

It all started with admiring his idol, the eight-division Manny Paquito. He may not be invincible, yet he never backs down from any fight.

It's also almost impossible for another fellow to achieve another eight-division world champion title.

"Let's go!!"

Steve took a hand wrap on the other shelf. He had three shelves. The others were for the people he didn't save.

Second is the boxing gloves, and the third is for his hand wrap.

Slick!

There are many types of wraps, and it's essential to choose the one that will work best for the size of his hands and the kind of boxing he intends to do.

So Steve considered the best option when picking out a wrap to buy.

His hand wrap is a cotton wrap which is a good choice for frequent training.

Also, these wraps are soft and won't make him invincible like boxing gloves.

It also comes in adult and junior lengths and is secured with velcro at the end.

Steve opened his mouth.

"Hoooo!''

He released a breath.

He could still remember the woman he met that could kill him anytime.

Until now, Steve was still thinking about her, not knowing what she did to him or what she wanted from him.

Steve calmed down.

"Phew."

Bouncing slightly to relax every muscle on his body.

Ever since that day, he became alienated from society and saw the beasts that could kill any mortals anytime and the mortals not even remembering them.

He knew this was nothing or just one of them, and he became numb to it.

"Let's do it!"

The most important thing is the new goal.

So, for now, Steve places his left foot in front of his right, with his feet angled in slightly, yet still pointing towards the punching bag.

He put his hands up to protect his chin, tucked his elbows down, kept his chin down, and ensured his hips were above his feet.

He must keep his body and hands relaxed.

Have a slight bend at his knees and brings up his back heel just a bit.

That's why Steve bounced around earlier, getting comfortable in the stance.

Make sure his feet are around shoulder width apart, his front foot points mostly forward, and his back foot mainly points out.

"Stance done."

Steve said.

Looking seriously at the punching bag.

He leans forward with his elbows in and his right hand a little higher than his left.

His right protects his chin, playing defence, while his left is up, waiting to strike.

He is always taller than his opponent even though they are otherworldly creatures like a werewolf, Mothman, frogman, etc.

And it is unlikely that they will pull off a straight right to his face. He kept it low for greater power and visibility.

Otherwise, he must keep it at his chin, ready to dodge or block.

"I'm in the optimum position right now for my punching jabs. Now while the jab comes from my core and not my arm, it is important not to launch myself with it."

Steve mumbled.

Now for the third step, he needed to transfer his weight forward and jab.

His punch needed to shift off his back right foot simultaneously, but he shouldn't let it come off the ground and put his weight onto his left.

While throwing his left arm into a quick, powerful jab.

Steve also needed to twitch his entire left side forward while lifting the heel of his left foot.

His body's weight should come forward as his hand comes forward simultaneously.

He kept his chin tucked in behind his shoulder.

His shoulder should come to meet his chin, offering it even more protection than in his usual stance.

Throwing a jab straight out as if Steve is punching into a pipe.

He kept his elbows in and aligned with his fist and the rest of his body. No part of him should needlessly stick out -- or he would only be asking for an easy hit.

Swoof!

Steve drove his punch with his shoulders.

Bang!

The punching bag was hit, yet the sound was not that loud.

Seeing this, Steve stared down. Waiting for the system to judge him.

Ding!

[ Shadowboxing: usual one punch. ]

"What?"

He exclaimed.

His face looks like he was sick as a parrot.

"My punch is not complete."

Steve said.

"Again!"

He continued.

Going back to the stance.

"When my hands are held at my chin, my thumbs should face me."

He said.

*But when I go to jab again, I need to rotate my hands so my palms are facing down, thumbs slightly lower than perfectly horizontal."

He continued.

After that, Steve made another jab again.

Swoof!

His hand whistled through the air because, this time, his hand rotated naturally.

His punch is like a slight corkscrew motion.

In that twist, there's power - - like the cracking of a whip.

Bang!

This time, the sound it made to the punching bag was more crisp and solid.

Ding!

[ Shadow boxing: Almost perfect jab, 100 punch. ]

Seeing this, Steve is not even a bit happy.

"I need more."

He knew his jab needed to be improved.

Compared to standard punches, the system would give him many punches if he performed a punching technique in its most perfect way.

Suddenly, he stopped. He turned to the door of his boxing gym.

Bang! Bang!
