Tate shook his head. "I told you not to let Kim drive."
Luke yawned. "Where are we?"
"Where does it look like?"
The SUV was surrounded by dusk and cornstalks.
"How did we get here?"
"Ask the chauffeur," Tate said.
Kim said, "The GPS said to take a right, so I did."
"You are supposed to wait for a road to take a right."
"There was a road. Sort of."
"Humph. Tractor ruts at best. Cow path at worst."
"Then why didn't you stop me?" Kim twisted around in his seat to face Tate. "Besides, I'm the driver. You are in the navigator's seat. It's your job to keep us on route."
"I was asleep right up until the SUV bottomed out, and I bit my tongue! You said you had this. I wouldn't have dozed otherwise."
"And you trusted me?"
"Quiet!" Luke roared as he ran a hand down his face. "How the fuck did I get myself into this?" He muttered quietly. Oh, yeah. Tate.
