Min Jun limped into the apartment. He had one arm protecting bruised ribs while he shaded his bruised eye with the other. If he could make it to the bathroom and his makeup kit, he could cover the black eye before Jessie saw it. She didn't need to know he'd lost his temper. He was supposed to be the rock to support her during trying times.
Music played in the living room, and MJ spotted Jessie in the kitchen chopping vegetables. He had a shot of slipping by her. He would worry about how to hide the body hits later. Maybe he could explain them away as dance practice injuries, but he hated to out and out lying to her.
Eyes on Jessie, Min Jun, staggered against the hall table, knocking a glass bauble to the floor.
"Shit."
Glass shards glittered around him. There went his chance to make things better. Now he would have to face the guilt that accompanied worrying his woman.
