257 This Is Too Much!

Callie let it go because Joy had to go get ready to meet her friends. She focused on spending some quality time with her son while she could and trying to mentally prepare herself for what was ahead tomorrow. 

She wasn't quite sure what to expect when she showed up with Carter in tow at what was a very nice building in Brooklyn. Mr. Griffith lived on the top floor in a four-bedroom penthouse with a stunning view, a large living room, and both a balcony and a terrace on opposite sides of the apartment. 

She had never stepped foot in a place this fancy in her life. It had to be worth at least a few million dollars, if not more. She was supposed to be responsible for cleaning somewhere so fancy?!

"Thanks for coming," Mr. Griffith said as if she was a guest rather than someone who was supposed to work for him. "Come on in."
