Crumbling Spirits

The crowned prince, the second prince, and the grand vizier had a long talk that ended in heated disputes between the brothers. Arham disapproved of Azlan’s unforeseen idea of attacking Cipreon and its allies. He even discussed many possible options instead of raising swords and spears just to win the honor of their kingdom. But their sly uncle Tariq sided with Azlan and opposed the younger prince’s motion, reasoning that war was the best option to regain their kingdom’s former glory.

“Come, dear boy,” Tariq called Arham, “I understand your disdain with war, but this is for your father.”

“By killing thousands? Azlan, can you not think of other ways to keep the kingdom’s legacy without the clashing of armories?” Somewhat desperate, Arham tried compromising with his brother.

“Father died on the battlefield, and so will his foes.” Azlan firmly stated.
