Chapter 7: New Friend

Present Time, Jungkook's POV

I couldn't imagine this happening to me. I felt so bad for her. I closed the diary with a heavy sigh, while tears welled up in the corner of my eyes. I quickly ran out of the room before I got caught. I was walking back to the ballroom until I bumped into Y/N.

"Oh Prince Jungkook, here is your wine. I am terribly sorry that I took so long, but it was difficult to find the wine." She apologized while bowing. "Oh that is fine. Hey, how about we leave the ball and go for a stroll?" I asked. "Oh I suppose so." She said.

We left the palace and went towards the gate, until we heard someone call Y/N's name.

"Y/N!" A young boy yelled.

"Jimin! Namjoon!" She yelled back. The two boys came up to her and gave her a hug. I don't know why, but I felt rage grow inside of me when I saw those two young men hug her.

"You're Highness." Jimin bowed. "I am Knight Park." The boy named Jimin said. "And I am Knight Kim." Namjoon bowed. "Pleasant to see you both." I said giving them a fake smile.

"What are you doing out? I thought Jin told you to stay with him the whole night." Namjoon asked Y/N. "Oh-" I interrupted Y/N. "I asked her to escort me out." I said giving them a glare. "O-Oh. I understand. You both have a good night. See you later Y/N!" You're Highness." They bowed to me. They left and we began to walk.

"So tell me about yourself." I asked her. "Oh umm, I like reading. And I love the rain." I saw her smile but it quickly faded, and replaced with a pained look. "Are you okay?" I asked. "Yes I am, thank you for asking. So tell me about yourself." She said. "I like reading too, and I love the rain as well. The sounds of the droplets are so peaceful." I said. I saw her stop working for a second, looking at the ground. A tear drop fell from her eyes.

Was that a bad move?

"That's really nice." She said. "We have a lot in common." I said. "Umm, y-yes. You're Highness-" I interrupted her again. "Jungkook. No need to be formal." She stayed silent and stared at me. "As I was saying Prince Jungkook, it is getting quite late, shall we go back to the ball?" She asked. "As you wish." I answered.

We walked back to the castle. We arrived back and people started to leave. "Bye Y/N!" A young girl approached us and gave Y/N a hug. "Bye Sunmi!" Y/N said.

"Who was that?" I asked. "Princess Sunmi of Iksan, the only friend that I made, well besides Jimin, Namjoon, and Jin." She replied.

"That's four. I thought you had five." I said. "Five?" She asked confused. "Well since you don't have a fifth friend, I'll be that fifth friend!" I exclaimed, giving her my bunny smile. "Oh, I would like that." She said giving a small smile.

"Good, well I have to leave, good night Y/N." I said giving a her small kiss on her cheek.

"G-Goodnight Your Highness." "Jungkook." "Yes. Good night Jungkook." And with that
