A few hours pass, nighttime has begun. The world is lit up by many lights from buildings and vehicles. Chage and Aska sit at their square shaped dining table. "... If you like the girl… then ask her out" says Chage as he eats. "I don't know… she didn't sound interested in me when we spoke" replies Aska. "… that doesn't mean anything… It was the first time you guys talked to each other. And plus she was working". "Maybe you should eat first then talk". "Maybe you should stop being so nervous in front of pretty girls, hm?". "Like you ever tried asking out a girl". "... At least I don't get into a two week relationship every month.". "…*Sighs*" Aska gets up and takes his dinner plate & glass with him to the kitchen. He sets the dishes into the sink and then goes to his room. "Hey, don't forget that we gotta leave here at Seven-" says Chage. "Yeah, I know," replies Aska before he opens his door.
The two walk down the street of the early morning city. Aska walks with a head high & straight posture while Chage has a more slouch and relaxed posture. Chage has a cigarette in the right side of his mouth and exhales the smoke from the left side. Very few vehicles pass them as they walk to work.
They arrive at a grand police station, four stories tall. There is a large caged off area on the left side of the building filled with many police vehicles. Aircraft landing and taking off from the roof. The two enter a bustling building of officers and workers alike.
"Cigarette?" asks Chage as he puts one in his mouth. Aska picks one of Chage's cigarettes from his pack. Aska grabs his lighter from his coat pocket then lights his cigarette. They sit on a bench in a waiting room filled with a dozen other officers. "Weren't we supposed to get breakfast twenty minutes ago?" says Chage with an annoyed tone. "... -*RRRRING*". An alarm sounds in the room and all the officers begin to rush out of the room.
They cloth and gear themselves in a lightly packed locker room. They put on navy blue coats with an orange emblem on the chest of each one. Pocket filled pants and boots are acquired as well. Then the gas masks and white helmet with straps go on. After, the gloves come on. Next they go to the armory. They all grab an automatic rifle, some are given bundles of grenades. They head to the roof tops and enter in groups onto aircraft. The aircraft has a body with a similar shape to a Huey. Two wings sprout from the top at a 45 degree angle.. Each one has a propeller-like engine on the end of each wing. Two small propellers that are sideways sit on both sides of the tail. There are rockets on the back of it. The officers enter the aircraft from the sliding door on the side. Once everyone gets on, the aircraft begin to take off.
Six officers sit side by side within the vehicle. "Going to work on an empty stomach… already wanna go home" says Chage. "What do you think the missions gonna be?" asks an officer. "Probably some revolutionaries… or another cult" says Aska. "I think-" says another officer until he stops to the opening of the door to the cockpit. Their Lieutenant walks in then closes the door behind him. "Suspicious activity has been seen within this building, right here… " says Lieutenant then shows them a photo of the building that has a large skylight roof. "The group of people inside the building may be planning some revolution… well that's what I was told… we are ordered to shoot anyone who shows lethal retaliation or resistance….". "Sir, we're here" says the radio com. "Right, make sure you've got everything. We'll enter from the skylights…" states the lieutenant.
The officers reppel from the ships, falling with the gas from the grenades they drop. They shatter the skylight glass and drop into the building. Gas fills the entire place quickly and gun fire ensues. More officers drop in. They advance with the gas. It wasn't clear who shot first but the revolutionaries are retaliating. Their firearms did not match the ones the police had, nothing but pistols, submachine guns, and handmade grenades. Soon dozens of officers swarmed the building clearing rooms with gunfire, gas, and bombs.
The fighting ended. Dead bodies laid all around, mostly revolutionaries. Officers walk all around the area, checking each one. Grabbing and lifting them by their clothes then dropping them down. All of them were an assortment of varying ages and genders. Very soon other task forces appear to clean up the scene.
Chage and Aska along with the rest of their group wait atop the roof of a nearby building. Aska stares down at the building they were just in standing up. Chage walks over to him with a cigarette in his mouth. He looks at Aska then also begins to stare at the building.
The aircraft arrive and the officers get in. Then the aircraft takes off. "Looks like we'll live to see another day" says an officer. "Yeah, I guess we will," replies another. For most of the ride back, it was as silent as an abandoned train ride.
Later that day they leave work. They walk down the street to their apartment. "Chage" says Aska. "Hm?" replies Chage. "I don't think I can live like this". "What do you mean?". "What we did is wrong…". Chage looks at Aska. "... I can't do this job anymore". "I… I'm not sure what you mean". "We killed people…". "W-we did it to protect others-". "NO-we did it because we were told to. I'm not a killer and neither are you Chage. We both know what we did was wrong!". The two stop walking and stare at each other. Askas' face stirs with anger and empathy. Chages is bewildered and shocked. Soon Aska continues walking then Chage too.
