Abby's broken wrath

Entering the high school once again, Sarah right by her side.

"Shoot!" Sarah says through gritted teeth, looking almost pained.

"Hm? What's wrong?" Masie asks, leaning close to Sarah to check for any injuries. Nothing.

"I forgot something in the back of the school. You know those dumpsters? Stupid people like to smoke and vape out there, and that's their coverage. My ID card was dropped when I had to carry a whole bin of trash from Mrs.Galensteins' class to the dumpsters, and, well, I quite frankly think they have it. I'm going to go back and look for it one last time, will you come with me? It could keep me safe?" Sarah says, pouting in the last 2 sentences she says.

"Oh, fine. Lead the way, Sarah." Masie says, waving a hand in front of her to motion 'go ahead'.

......

"Crickey." Sarah says, her eyes going wide. Masie quickly covers Sarah's mouth with her hand, the spectacle in front of them looking like all hell broke loose. Abby was staring down at another girl, the only thing covering the ground was the kid's unconscious body and the blood still spilling out of the wounds.

Before Sarah can run back inside, Masie pulls out her phone and takes a picture. Crap. It had flash on.

Abby's head snaps their way, and she walks to Masie and Sarah, scowling. Her fingers were coated in blood, her hair frizzy in It's bun. Running back inside the building, Masie and Sarah book it through the hallways, up and down flights of stairs, through the cafeteria-

Masie stops, Sarah bumping into her back from behind.

"Why'd you stop?" Sarah asks.

In front of Masie towered Matthew.

"Oh- ah, um, hi." Masie says, cursing under her breath from her struggle to talk. Masie, throwing on a fake smile quickly, Matthew stares at their faces in suspicion.

Matthew stops after a minute, shrugging and walking away. Maybe that bracelet with the cross was really helping. Or maybe Matthew just didn't know about the current situation? Masie keeps walking hastily, pulling her and Sarah under a stairwell, and going to gallery.

.......

There it was- the picture. With flash on, it looked very obvious what Abby's been up to. Covered in blood on the hands, chest and a tiny bit on the leggings, it was the perfect example of one-post-can-end-your-good-girl-scheme.

Good. Masie makes sure to store it in a file for future comebacks if Abby did anything stupid or crazy again. Abby didn't know it, but her wrath was already partly broken.

..........

"Huh. Looks like I'm taking route...." Sarah squints at the paper on her hands from the office. Masie looks at the paper with interest. It was a note to go on a different bus on a completely different route.

"28." Sarah says, and she starts to play with her hair again. Masie immediately smiles.

"That's my route, Sarah! You should sit with me!" Masie is quick to say, closing her eyes and tilting her head in a excited manner.

After some time, the bell rings for second wave, and Sarah and Masie walk out of the classroom.

Step. Bustling. Step. Murmuring. Step. Louder. Step. Hollering. Step, step, step, step.

Bursting out in front of the gathering crowd, Masie eyes look for where the hollering is coming from, when her eyes land on the drama in front of her.

"I never said that, and you know it. You-" A boy rants at Abby's face, scowling and fyrrowing his brows, some words as loud as a scream. But It's a short moment of being vocal.

Masie looks to her right, hearing footsteps approaching. The crowd fell silent, and Masie keeps surveying the scene. Leaning back to another girl, Masie whispers to her.

"I need you to keep the crowd whispering and talking, okay? Until the staff gets here." Masie says. The girl nods in response, and soon the talking had started up again.

Now Masie knew what the boy was going to deal with. It wasn't going to be pretty after this. At all. Matthew's hand goes flying at the boy's head, grabbing the hair and yanking him back, onto the ground.

"What. The. Hell. Are you doing to Abby?" Matthew murmurs. It was sinister, like a devil had come in and wasn't going out anytime soon.

"She-" The boy starts on a raspy excuse, when Matthew grabs the boy again and hurls him at a table, sitting the boy down and grabbing his arm.

"What are you doing to Abby? Answer me." Matthew's voice booms, glaring at the boy.

Masie, now looking at Abby as the boy tries to tell his reasoning, was surprised. All cleaned up. Not a blood stain in sight. Huh. Weird...

Matthew raises his fist, his knuckles coming in contact with the boy's face. A shrill gasp is heard behind Masie, and some people back away. The sound of buses pulling into the bus loop is faint over the chaos and commotion caused by Matthew's action.

"What the hell-" The boy gasps, a fist from Matthew landing on the boy's throat.

"I didn't even hurt her!" The boy hollers, standing up from the seat and grasping Matthew, the two now all over each over with fists and kicks.

Bam.

The table beside then turns down to the ground as they slam one another to the ground. Matthew grabs the boy in a chokehold, punching the boy repeatedly. Blood starts pouring off the wounds on the boy, scratches and knuckle marks evident on Matthew's face.

"Stop it, please." Masie calls out, making sure worry etched on her face. Matthew turns his head slightly after throwing some more punches at the kid's face. It was clear he was thinking. Matthew glances back at Abby, who is still in her good-girl cover. But only Masie and Sarah knew that.

"Do you want me to stop, Abby?" Matthew asks gruffly. Abby bites her lip in fake anxiety, squeezing her eyes shut and shrugging.

"I don't know." Abby answers, but it was obvious to Masie that Abby was putting a scared look on her face as she said that so Matthew would think the guy deserved more pain.

"Hey! Cut it out you two! Now!" A staff member calls out, running into the room and grasping Matthew, trying to pull him apart from the boy. Matthew's hands were still tightly grasping the boy's jacket, and his knuckles were whiter than a ghost. But the staff member was a woman. Even Matthew, the seeming-to-be-a-constant-fighter, knew that. So, grudgingly, Matthew steps back after giving one more slap to the boy's face.

...................................................

Masie walks into her room, the stale, old air in it annoying her even more than the recent fight.

Tap. Tap.

"Stop it." Masie says sternly, furrowing her brows.

Silence.

Huh, guess it really stopped. Good, it gained some respect. Sighing, Masie sits on her bed and leans back, arching her back in a stretch and throwing her arms up over her head while lounging.

"Huuhhhmm"

"Gah! Stop it." Masie says, Another breath? Seriously? This time, Masie stays on the bed though, keeping her stern face for 10 minutes. Maybe she should bring in a Ouija board? It could help her, it's the only thing available in her house to possibly communicate to whatever this entity was. Great. Standing up, Masie trudges out of her room to the Ouija board sitting covered in dust with the rest of the board games in the upstairs hallway. Grabbing it and heading back to her room, she opens the box up, saying a quick prayer before laying the board down and placing the planchette on it. Step one initiated.

Hello! Hope you all are doing well! Btw, I didn't include this before, but make sure to get a good amount of sleep. It's important to your mental and physical health. See you on the next chapter, peace! :)
