Chapter 1

A girl dressed in fashionable leather jacket and black ripped jeans leaned forward accelerating her bike, she smiled feeling the strong wind.

Her helmet hid her features as a carefree grin adorned her delicate face, wich looked handsome thanks to the skillfully applied make up. Her face was slightly flushed after the exhilarating race.

They stopped near a disco and her friend gave her a high five to conratulate her, raising his hand high above her head to tease her for her height.

The music nearly drowned their voices.

"That was sick bro!!" Said a well built man with a tattoo peeking from under his windbreaker's collar, he flashed his canines in a wide grin and gave her a strong pat on the back.

"Cough... it was nothing much" she said with a deep voice and grinned back.

"Take care you guys" she added turning around and she chuckled when they boo'ed.

"Reeey~ you're leaving me with these idiots again?" Said a big chested woman, her red jacket clung to her curves as she pouted her lips, fluttering her eyelashes.

"The night's just starting! Where ya goin' dude! Is momma' baby gonna sleep early?" Rick guffawed with his gruff voice.

Lan smirked hearing her fake name. She hopped on her bike and turned on the engine disappearing in the darkness in the blink of an eye.

The group laughed and joked as they entered the building.

Lan knew city H like the back of her hand and drove her motorbike with ease through the shortcuts to her apartment.

She enjoyed the breeze and thought about her schedule for the next day, the only noise coming from the rumbling of her motorbike.

She slowed down and swerved to the right when suddenly a shadow appeared in front of her. With a start she pressed the brakes and came to a halt, then parked the bike nearby and tried to calm her erratically beating heart.

Lan stood quietly on the silent road and the bike's lights illuminated the path ahead. She looked around wearily, holding her breath. She was prepared to take off at any moment.

An eerie silence descended around her and her muscles tensed, then she heard light, unsteady steps coming towards her.

The shadow once again appeared a few metres away from her and once the man reached the illuminated street, the sight of him left her breathless.

she looked up at the man that couldn't possibly be described as a human, he was what she had always imagined an angel to look like, or maybe a handsome demon from the depths of hell.

Lan wanted to turn around and run away, yet she was transfixed, staring at the man before her with caution.

The man's inky black hair fluttered in the wind and his unfocused golden pupils glowed, adding an inhuman glow to him.

Lan scowled. Although as a girl she could be considered a beauty, but when wearing male clothes she would definitely lose to him, she thought and resumed gawking at the stranger.

The black fur clothes he wore did nothing to hide his towering, muscled frame and he looked like he could easily crush anyone with a snap of his fingers.

He soundlessly stood there, his features half hidden in the darkness.

Just when Lan was wondering how to ask him his motive for blocking her path, the stranger swayed and suddenly fell to the side unconscious.

The dull thud woke Lan from her daze and she looked at the fallen man not knowing what to do.

After a few minutes of contemplating she tentatively walked toward him. Her tense muscles relaxed slightly when she realised that the unconscious man had no way to harm her.

She squatted near the handsome devil and stared at him, up close his skin was even more flawless.

His pale face and frowning eyebrows indicated that the man felt unbearable pain yet even in that state he emanated a dangerous air.

She reached in her jackets pocket, then glared at the unresponsive black screen of her phone. She certainly couldn't drag him all the way to the hospital, which was at least an hour away, but she hesitated.

Would bringing him back to her apartment be a good idea?

At that moment she felt a drop of rain fall on her and she sighed.

"Just who the hell are you? And what's with those primitive clothes? Did you run away from a movie set?" she grumpled while bending to support the heavy man on her back, nearly falling to the ground in the process.

"See how nice I am? You better not be a serial killer" she muttered to herself, wondering how the idea of bringing a stranger with her even crossed her mind.

The man had neither a phone nor an ID card so that left her with no choice but to hope that she wouldn't regret helping him.

With much effort she finally carried the big man to her home and after returning with her bike she began working on treating him.
