Chapter Three (Iris's Injury)

Isla rapidly ran with a heavy heart to check on Iris, who had reached the beach in a state of pain and bleeding. She had been shot by someone with a bow, attempting to hunt her. Without waiting, Isla quickly noticed the blood trailing behind Iris. Poor Iris was bleeding profusely, and Isla couldn't wait for her dog to fetch the necessary first aid.

Rocky, Isla's dog, quickly ran towards the house. It took him only a few seconds to return, dragging the heavy bag. Isla swiftly took it from him and pulled out the antiseptic, attempting to clean the wound and stop the bleeding. The dog began barking incessantly, catching the attention of James, who started scanning in all directions to investigate the matter. Until he hurriedly searched for his daughter, fear filling his heart as he thought he had lost her, just like her mother.

While Isla was focused on treating the wound and keeping her friend away from danger, her father arrived to witness the emotional scene. He had dedicated his life to protect these creatures, and now he saw the fruits of his efforts. He asked his daughter to step aside, assuring her that everything would be alright.

Isla left her father to take care of Iris, knowing it wouldn't be easy but would require some time to remove the bullet. The wound was deep due to the severe injury, and Iris couldn't feel anything at that moment. She screamed with joy when she realized she had been saved from certain death. Her father cleaned the wound and applied medication before wrapping it with adhesive bandages. Iris was starting to feel better, albeit slightly.

Isla took Iris in her arms, tears filling her eyes, reflecting the greed and cruelty of humans who show no mercy to such vulnerable creatures and don't let them live in peace. Their only goal is to obtain their skin and secure their lives by any means necessary, regardless of the path they take. Iris could have fallen victim to the greed of mankind if it weren't for her father, who arrived at the right time.

Despite her father's attempts to convince her that the danger had passed and Iris would be fine in a maximum of two days, Isla preferred to stay by her side to alleviate her pain. Isla was afraid that fate might sneak in again and steal Iris from her.
