Transformation's Agony

Eric's body convulsed, his muscles twisting in agony as the Orb's power reshaped him from the inside out. His mind reeled, struggling to keep pace with the torrent of visions and sensations flooding his consciousness.

He saw ancient forests, their trees towering above him like green giants. He saw oceans deep, their darkness illuminated by the soft glow of bioluminescent creatures. He saw cities sprawling, their steel and stone spires reaching for the sky like shards of glass.

The visions came faster, each one overlapping the last, until Eric's sense of identity began to fray. He was no longer sure who he was, or what he was becoming. The Orb's power had consumed him, remaking him in its own image.

His body screamed in protest, his cells burning with a fire that seemed to sear his very soul. Eric's vision blurred, his eyes burning with tears as he felt his humanity slipping away.

And yet, he couldn't stop it. The Orb's power had him in its grasp, refusing to let go. Eric was trapped, caught in a maelstrom of transformation that threatened to destroy him utterly.

After an unknown amount of time..

The agony finally receded, leaving Eric gasping for breath. His body felt heavy, his muscles trembling with exhaustion. But as he looked down at his hands, he saw that they were no longer his own.

His skin was smoother, his fingers longer and more slender. His eyes, once a deep brown, now shone like stars in the night sky. Eric's gaze wandered over his new form, taking in the changes that had been wrought.

He felt he was no longer a normal human.

The Orb's power still pulsed within him, a constant reminder of what he had become. Eric felt its energy coursing through his veins, a burning fire that seemed to fuel his very existence.

As he struggled to his feet, the mysterious wolf reappeared, its eyes locked onto Eric's. For a moment, they simply stared at each other, two beings from different worlds.

"Who..no, what are you?" Eric asked as he stares at the wolf warily. Eric felt as if what happened wasn't a coincidence, the wolf brought him purposely for something.

"Am I not a wolf?, And fret not, I wouldn't dare to eat you now that you have 'that thing' on you" The wolf rolled it's eyes then replied without opening it mouth.

Eric was given a start as he didn't expect the wolf to reply him even when he has seen more strange things as memories.

"Are you using your spirit sense to stimulate the air to produce the talking?" Eric asked again feeling curious. Then he continued "which means you're a spiritual beast..huh.?"

"

'What do you mean by "that thing"?' Eric pressed on, his questions flowing rapidly. 'Do you know where these memories come from? And those scenes...?'

"'Please, don't ask me questions about that thing,' the wolf begged, its eyes wide with fear.

"Eric hesitated, sensing the wolf's distress. 'Okay, I won't. But can you tell me... are there any cultivators on this planet?'
