CHAPTER 70

Wonder Girl's eyes widened as she strained to tilt her head backward.

*Phew!*

Superboy's fist barely missed Wonder Girl's nose, with a distance of less than a millimeter between them.

The powerful punch wind blew Wonder Girl's golden hair, preventing it from settling down.

"Hah!"

Wonder Girl's fighting instincts seemed to surpass Superboy's; when she realized her attack had missed, she immediately launched a counterattack.

With a shout, she grabbed the fist Superboy had thrown at her and swiftly performed a back throw, executing the move seamlessly.

*Boom!*

Superboy fell to the ground, creating a loud crash. The force was so immense that the ground beneath him sank several centimeters, leaving a small human-shaped pit.

Most people would suffer severe bone fractures from such an attack, but Superboy seemed completely unharmed. He pounded the ground with his fists, using the recoil to spring up.

Then he imitated Wonder Girl's earlier movement, twisting his waist and performing a sweeping leg kick.

As they were now too close to each other, Wonder Girl couldn't dodge in time and could only use her outstretched arm to block.

*Sizzle!*

The tremendous force sent Wonder Girl sliding back over ten meters, her shoes leaving long and deep marks on the ground.

In the next second, Wonder Girl acted as if nothing had happened. She suddenly kicked her right foot backward, shooting towards Superboy like an arrow released from a bow.

Superboy didn't dodge or evade, and the two collided head-on, instantly entangling in a fierce fight once again.

The ground quickly became pockmarked and uneven from their intense battle.

Outside the training room, Starfire watched the scene and couldn't help but feel distressed. "Why are these kids playing too recklessly? I hope they don't cause too much damage to the training room..."

On the other side, Bart, who was right in the center of the smoke bomb, shouted helplessly.

"Cassie! Yuri! Where are you? I can't see anything!"

In the thick smoke, Bart covered his nose, stretching his hand forward as he groped around, moving in a disordered and slow manner like a headless fly.

*Whoosh!*

Suddenly, a dark figure darted past Bart's left side, instantly putting him on guard.

He stopped moving, staying vigilant of his surroundings.

*Whoosh!*

The dark figure appeared again, this time quickly passing Bart's right side.

As Bart's gaze shifted, the figure disappeared, only to reappear in front of him.

And as soon as Bart looked forward, the dark figure swept past him from behind.

The figure merged perfectly with the smoke, making it impossible for Bart to see them clearly. He could only hear the faint sounds of their movements.

Creating an illusion where the dark figure seemed to be everywhere, making it impossible to determine the perfect moment to strike.

"I know it's you, Tim, stop hiding!"

"You want to compete in speed with me? I'll knock you down the next time you appear."

Bart raised his fist, and white arcs of electricity began to envelop his body.

At that moment, Bart activated his Speed Force mode directly.

In the high-speed state of the Speed Force, everything Bart saw seemed incredibly slow, almost like time was frozen.

Of course, Robin's movements were no exception. Bart would have to wait for what seemed like an eternity before he saw Robin appear.

But directly seeking out Robin wasn't an option either. Bart's vision was completely blocked due to the smoke, and for Robin, even the slightest contact from Bart's super speed would be fatal.

So, Bart decided to adjust his Speed Force mode to a lower speed, narrowing the speed gap between him and Robin, changing the perspective from "frozen time" to "slow-motion."

In that moment, Bart keenly sensed something peculiar happening in the left front.

A smirk appeared on his face—got you!

"Before, you always played me, but this time it's finally my turn."

Bart instantly rushed toward the direction of the movement. When he arrived, he halted and threw a series of punches.

"But I shouldn't hurt him too much, so I'll only throw thirty punches."

In less than a second, he completed all thirty punches, but due to the incredibly fast punching speed, to outsiders, it looked like he only threw one punch.

As Bart threw the first punch, the sensation on his fist made him sure of his victory.

He was one hundred percent certain that he hit Robin's cape and that just a little more forward movement would reach Robin's back.

'Now we should be able to eliminate Tim. Then it's three against two. Haha! we've got this!'

This was Bart's thought at that moment.

However...

"Hmm?"

Bart completed thirty punches in an instant, but surprisingly, he felt no contact with a solid object.

He sensed something covering his fist, which turned out to be Robin's cape.

In the next moment, a powerful electric current surged from Robin's cape, instantly paralyzing Bart's body.

'Oh no! I can't move now...'

The intensity of the electric current seemed to be carefully designed—not too harmful to Bart, but enough to immobilize him completely.

"You haven't changed at all, Bart."

At this moment, Robin emerged from the darkness and stood before Bart.

"You always treat everything as a game, rarely taking anything seriously, especially in a battle."

Robin lightly pressed something on his utility belt, and the flow of electricity from the cape stopped. However, Bart's body remained paralyzed; it would take at least a minute or two to recover.

"You could have used your speed to create a whirlwind and disperse the smoke, but you didn't think of that."

Hearing this, Bart suddenly became stupefied—yes, why didn't he think of such a simple solution?

Unfortunately, it was too late to do anything now. In his paralyzed state, Bart was knocked out of the match.

*Boom!*

Suddenly, an immensely loud sound came from the side, followed by a powerful gust of wind that instantly dispersed Robin's smoke bomb.

Just a dozen meters away, Superboy and Wonder Girl had just collided with a punch. The ground cracked beneath their feet, and the shockwave rippled outward, blowing away all the black smoke.

"You've grown a lot in this past year, Conner."

Wonder Girl's eyes glowed with fighting spirit. She was genuinely amazed at Superboy's improved combat skills.

Superboy was a clone with Superman's genes, and this was no secret. He was created in a laboratory called Cadmus.

In some ways, Superboy was similar to Bart; both lacked a normal childhood and someone to guide them in using their powers effectively.

As a result, even though Superboy possessed physical abilities comparable to Superman's, he couldn't fully harness that power.

Back during the days of the Young Justice League, Wonder Girl easily defeated Superboy in their training sessions. With her Amazonian combat skills, it was like child's play against Superboy, who only relied on brute force.

However, in just one year, Superboy had progressed to the point where he could hold his own against Wonder Girl, even gaining a slight advantage. This improvement was undoubtedly significant.
