Chapter 173 - Titans or Giants?

In the three days everyone prepared for the upcoming raid where Ryuu made sure to separate the teams with Trese, Shinobu and Kanae being the A-Team while Mitsuri, Rias and Nezuko were the B-Team. 

Erza, Justine and Cha Hae-in were the C-Team and Ryuu beside Tawata led the group. Lucifer obviously didn't join them and was on the sidelines watching. Everyone was in their battle armor giving them extra protection.  

'The dungeon break will happen today.'

Hw thought as he looked at the gate and then looked at Tawata beside him who had her hair in pigtails and was dressed in a loose dark pink jacket that showed her midriff, black armored boots, and black baggy pants, with two katanas hanging from the left side of her waist.

"You aren't feeling nervous?"

He asked her curiously as she is more composed than before.

"I am not feeling nervous because you are here." 

She said with a smile. He shook his head as he laughed seeing her attempt to tease him to hide her nervousness. 

"Aren't you worried?" 

She asked him, which confused him a bit.

"About what?" 

"Seriously how can you be so nonchalant about two National rank hunters coming here to evaluate you?" 

"So your worried about that?"

He said while waving my hand to calm her down. Ryuu strength eclipses that of national rank hunters and can defeat all of them with lifting a finger.  

"Haaaa… I wish I could be as carefree as you are?" 

She sighed heavily while he chuckled at her reaction and glanced at all the fighter class S-Rank hunters gathered behind us and then there were magician and healer class hunters. 

Then behind them, there was the army that was stationed with tanks and heavy artillery. He don't understand why they are 

here do they want to add to the casualties that badly or is the government stupid enough to believe that this is going to work on the monsters that will be coming out of an S-rank gate.

He shook his head before looking at the place from where he could feel two stares and saw Liu Zhigang and Thomas Andre, they are one of the National rank hunters. Both of them arrived In Tokyo this morning, the reason being they wanted to see him along with his guild in action with their own eyes.

He didn't mind it and hadn't met them as he was busy looking at the preparations for the raid and spending most time training or with his girls. 

He yawned as he had been standing here for an hour now. He heard an exasperated sigh from Tawata again who was fed up with my laid-back attitude by now.

He sat down on the ground cross-legged and propped his head in his right hand as he looked at the gate.

"TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY YOU BASTARD,"

Tawata shouted at him and he laughed while looking at her.

"Is it alright for you to be here? Isn't there an S-rank gate in Maryland State?" 

A man with long black hair while wearing a brown business suit looked at the person sitting near him.

"It is alright I am here only to watch and it isn't like that gate is going to open today there is still plenty of time left. So don't worry about it, Zhigang."

A large man with blonde hair in a Hawaiian shirt and shorts said.

"What do you think of him, Thomas?" 

Zhigang asked Thomas who was sitting down on a sofa with a wine glass in his hand.

"I like his attitude but I can't assess his powers. Is this a first for me?" 

Thomas said as he grinned. 

"That is true it is like he is a normal human that you can lose if you don't focus on him. I am curious about his real powers as I haven't seen anyone who can hide their aura to this extent." 

Zhigang said as he sat down while looking at Ryuu who was talking to one of the Japanese hunters.

"At first I wanted to ask him about something but after seeing him I am curious about his powers and I think we will know about it soon," 

Thomas said as he gulped down the glass of wine and asked for a refill.

"You shouldn't drink so much, what if you have to step in for the raid." 

Laura who was here with Thomas said. Thomas burst into laughter which confused Laura as she asked.

"Why are you laughing?"

"It's because your question is funny. I'll have to step in? That isn't going to happen. That guy is powerful so it won't come to that." 

Thomas said as he drank wine again.

"But you said that you can't assess his powers right?" 

Laura asked.

"We only said we can't be accurate but we never said that he is weaker than us. This is going to be an interesting show and I am sure 'The Absolute' isn't going to disappoint us."

Thomas said with a wide grin as he was 

looking at Ryuu. And Zhigang nodded his head in approval. Laura was shocked to see two national rank hunters acknowledge Ryuu and for Thomas to call someone by their epithet shows that he is taking this seriously.

She then looked towards Ryuu and looked forward to what he would do. Only to see him sit down cross-legged on the ground lazily while also picking his nose completely destroying his image of edgelord. Ryuu just looks like one but he likes to take things easy. Because when his serious things become horrifying.

"HAHAHAHA, I like him more and more.." 

This caused Thomas to burst into laughter and Zhigang also laughed a bit.

While Laura was stunned as she shook her head and looked at Thomas and Zhigang.

"What about his guild member?"

Laura asked, knowing that they fought those humanoid monsters in 3 on 1. Thomas rubbed his chin looking at Justine and said.

"That girl is like me, a brawler and based on my instincts then I'll probably lose in terms of strength while that girl seems to easily overpower me with her flames."

He pointed at Nezuko who looked out of place in the crowd as she was having a friendly conversation with another crimson haired woman.

"Agree, they are listed as A rank but their over power can compete with us."

Zhigang added, prompting a smirk looking at Laura's dumbfounded expression.

"You gotta be kidding me!? You're saying a single guild has the power of a national rank hunter?"

She knows that such existence brings imbalance to the global power. They could easily lose a threat against any country. 

"Well, that's just based on our experience and I don't want to take the bet where I am likely to lose."

Zhigang said having only seen them fight in footage and couldn't perfectly gauge their skills and power.

"It seems to about to begin."

After he got a lecture from Tawata for an hour because of his carefree behavior he had to stop her rambling with some pats to her head and she became angrier and looked away but he can see her ears are red. 

And he can feel their gazes stabbing at his back he turned around and saw the Hunter who have gathered here looking at me like

'Seriously, you are flirting even at this time?'

Their faces said everything and He shook his head as he stood up as the gate opened. Ryuu noticed the upcoming danger where he stood up and took out his [ Yamato ] preparing for what's to come.

Everyone was tense when they felt the magic power that was released from inside the gate. He saw Tawata tense up with her eyes wide open as he smiled and patted her back.

"Don't be tense at a moment like this. It'll be alright. Remember all the training we has"

"O-Ok, Thank you." 

She nodded with a smile even though her strength greatly increased, it still was extremely limited and only had 2 job changes. 

Tawata unsure if her strength is enough to survive the incoming calamity since she could sense the danger coming from the gate. Ryuu nodded once she calm down and looked at the gate and saw the monster finally  came out.

"T…. Titans. It's Titans" 

One of the hunters behind us shouted with a voice that was filled with fear.

"Hey this isn't Attack on Titan!"
