Chapter 103 - Trese shock
Trese intently listened to his story only to make her gasp and felt multiple shock hearing his words. She would have thought he was a madman if not for the fact that he had displayed unbelievable and beyond common sense.
Take for example the power to devour a god or revive himself from the explosion. Therefore his words could be taken as believable to some level of degree.
She had lived most of her life believing she knew more about her world than anyone else but she was wrong.
"A World of fiction exists!!?"
Trese once again asks even though she has done it multiple times, unable to accept the fact that another world beside their existe. A completely different plane of existences with their own laws and common sense.
"Yes but I'm saying that they are completely fiction with some differences and similarities. Thinking that they're exactly the one we know then it would be useless."
The man before her, Ryuu added, considering that viewing them as fictional characters does not do justice to their choices and lives. There may be similarities but by the end of the end their things those fiction does not include.
Trese now realizes why he was adamant to consider her decision after hearing everything. She has never been into the mainstream, only watching old shows and was shocked to learn that Shinobu and the other girls are anime characters.
"Unbelievable, is this why you're strong? Gaining power from doing missions?"
"That's the summary of it. I have another mission coming up and planned on bringing the others to grow stronger. Do you want to come with me? You don't need to worry about time since it would stop when we're in that world."
"How does that even work?"
"I don't know but it's convenient. Don't worry, I plan on going a month from now. So are you going or not? I can erase your memory of me if you don't want to trouble yourself."
Ryuu didn't want to force her and gave Trese to live like they never met before.
"No, I've already decided to join and that won't change. Even if I don't, then I'll just live meaninglessly to maintain the treaty."
Trese said seeing herself living and endlessly fighting with nothing gaining from it. She would at least live in an endless fight with someone important by her side.
"Soooo do you consider me as your lover?"
"I am. We can still get to know each other as time goes."
She was happy to see how things went and being by his side always made her feel at ease. Ryuu pulled her closer while the two of them silently enjoyed their time together.
"Then do you want to learn the magic I use?"
"If you are willing to but aren't you busy?"
"No, it's fine. We're going to a place where I could compress a week in a single day."
Trese was surprised but stopped knowing there's always a surprise that bound to happen. He went to tell the others who decided to watch in order to know what magic would have.
"What exactly magic do you all have?"
"Mine is called Fairy magic."
"Poison magic."
"I have Flower Magic."
"Life magic."
"I use Flame Magic."
"Apparently mine is called Survival Empowerment but I call it Epizo magic which means Survive from Greek. "
They share their magic with Trese curiously wondering what exactly makes their power different from hers.
"Can you describe how you use it?"( Trese )
"It's like breathing where you draw out the oxygen which in this case is magic that converts to carbon or the attribute of your magic before releasing the magic."
Ryuu explains the simplest thing he is able to give. Trese vaguely understood it since her magic never converts the magical energy rather invokes it directly.
"How Mahika? How do you use it, Trese?"(
Mitsuri )
"Please just call me Alexandra or Alex. As Mahika works, we usually use incantation and sigils to invoke Magick."
"That's rather inconvenient. Our magic just lets us manipulate the energy with the only requirements being a strong body and mind."( Shinobu )
She then conjured vicious poison that molded into different things letting Trese see for herself the power of Magic.
"It needed focus to mold the shape and the right amount of magical energy."
"Also you could manipulate existing objects of the same attribute, for example My flower magic."
Kanae uses her magic to manipulate a flower nearby showing that preexisting could be used as well with little Mana cost.
"It's rather simple yet complex. Is there any downside?"
"There it is, it is rather difficult to acquire other magic from what you already have. Is possible to have more than one magic but it's too difficult that you'd rather focus on one."
"What about you, Ryuu, what's your magic?"
"At first mine is Blood magic then I've gained another new magic name Bone and Disease. Anyway, let's head to the dimensional room to start her magic training."
Afterwards, the two went inside the Dimensional room and headed to the garden to teach her. Trese was in awe watching the place walking their way to the house and saw children heading towards them.
Ryuu introduces them to her and is surprised to learn that he is in a relationship with a woman that already has 5 children and finding it unusual but shook her head since she should have prepared herself. Kie remained with her children as the rest went to the garden.
"Alright first let's unlock your Aura."
"Aura? The one you mention that lets you see other people's sin??"
"Not exactly but yes. Aura also lets you increase your strength, defenses and senses."
He did the stupid chant to quickly unlock her Aura that gradually thicken into miasmic darkness. Trese could feel the immense power flowing through her body.
"Done. How do you feel?"
"I feel like I could fight for days and I can sense the energy coming from you. Is it your aura?"
"Yes, you will be able to distinguish if that person wants you harm or not but be careful as some may be able to hide their intention."
Ryuu didn't want her to believe that everyone was out to get there and sensing people's intentions based on their aura would be fatal.
"I'll keep that in mind. "
"Now, try to test out your aura first before we try unlocking your magic. Why don't you spar with Kanae?"
She nodded wondering how strong her lovers are. Trese never watched anime therefore wasn't aware of their techniques. But still she's a capable fighter who studied in martials arts.
"Let's see how you do in combat. Try not to hold back."( Kanae )
"I know and underestimating any of you would be a foolish decision."
Trese received a Bokken from her sparring partner and prepared their friendly spar, finding it immediately that she wasn't any like the way she carried herself.
She was shocked to see Kanae move in an unorthodox way. It was far unnatural for any normal human able to accomplish.
"I'm surprised she's able to last this long." ( Shinobu )
"She is a train warrior according to Ryuu."( Mitsuri)
"Yeah, I heard she fights like Justine using those two sticks."( Nezuko )
"It's called Arnis but whatever. She seems to focus on hitting rather than deflection or redirecting."( Justine )
"That's because Tre-I mean Alex is too having her dagger that slices through steel rather easily."
Trese struggled to fight back while surprised how her body was slight and moving faster than before. She swung her bokken towards Kanae who didn't do anything special and directed her weapon then pointed the tip below Trese chin.
"You lack training and don't utilize your breathing."
"...*sigh* I guess you won. I'm shocked how my body has lasted that long from your strike."
She hardly felt any pain thanks to her Aura protecting her body. Kanae smiled before continuing until she was ready to try doing magic.
"Now concentrate and normally it takes a long time but you've already gained access to magical energy and only need to crystallize into your body."
Trese meditated trying to feel the magical energy into her body slowly absorbing a dark magical energy in the surrounded shrouding herself with thick miasmic darkness.
They watched as her body radiated a burst of magic energy seemingly hearing a glass breaking. Trese didn't have much time to open her eyes to feel magical energy inside her body.
