73 Chapter 73 - The end of Muzan

Ryuu and the demon Slayers arrived at the location where Muzan is, many Slayers got tired for they were not monsters like the Hashira and Kagaya. Ryuu told them to rest for a bit, especially those weak Slayers, but he'll make sure no one dies.

In a certain place where Muzan was staying, he saw Ryuu and the Slayers through the eyes of a low class demon, Muzan got his face paler than he has now, he feared Ryuu more than anyone! He gathered all of his demon pawns, to prepare to fight Ryuu and the Slayers, he knew running them would be a failure!

He could still feel his thick presence far away looking at him like a primal predator. Muzan felt like a bug that could easily squash and couldn't afford to die.  

Ryuu naturally noticed the demon eyeing them, but didn't kill it yet and let it look at them for a while.

After a few moments, he killed it swiftly and no one noticed, except for the Hashiras, Kagaya and Tanjiro. He stood in front of the Slayers and shouted

"My Fellow Demon Slayers! prepare yourself! this is the last night you'll see a demon! we will exterminate them all! "

The Slayer screamed loudly, for their blood was boiling at his speech as Ryuu has this certain charisma that made them believe him. The sound of blade sheaths and monstrous grunts could be heard as each demon and demon's slayer prepared for battle.

"Be ready, they are coming!"

Giyu said with his eyes glint remembering his past and why he fought.

"We can see that!"

Sanemi angrily said as he dashed his way through the hordes of demons while the other Hashira nodded, the low ranked demon Slayers got nervous, they knew this was their last and the biggest battle they'll have in their lives.

Some of them gritted their teeths, this is what they were fighting for. They can finally avenge their fallen Family, Friends, Teachers and comrades from these demons.

Suddenly there were several flashing figures dashing at them. Those figures were all Upper Moon Demons with an army of all demons ever existed. Ryuu's theory was correct and he had gathered all demons with careful planning.

Those demons numbered tens of thousands that caused the Hashira, Kagaya, Ryuu and the rest to smile widely, they were eager to fight! The low ranked Demon Slayers got scared, more than tens of thousands demons! yet they were just a few hundreds. Ryuu grinned widely he laughed

"Hahaha now to loosen up.

[ Second Form - Instant-Death step. ]

His figure vanished into thin air before appearing on the other side that suddenly sliced the demon behind him. Ryuu didn't even need to use magic with his immense strength and technique.

The other Hashira and kagaya gasped in shock at the power Ryuu displayed. They baffled at how someone who was just a newbie could reach far higher than a Hashira.

Ryuu observed the battlefield using [ Byakugan ] and saw Tanjiro fighting alongside Kanao and Aoi with Zenitsu and Inosuke closed by. He recalls that Tanjiro told him about meeting the two in the final selection.

He felt proud seeing the power and technique of Tanjiro, who could easily be the God of Kindness once he found a way to gain divinity.

"Now come at me Demons!"

Ryuu bicker as the Hashira also moved, the battle lasted a few hours, all of the demons got killed, The Hashira killed the Upper Moon Demons with ease, heck Sanemi even killed the Upper Moon Demon One by himself. He boasted but got ignored, which made him pissed.

"Don't worry Nii-san, you were amazing!"

Sanemi turned to his brother who lessened his frown, only glad that he could finally have rest. Ryuu did help him fix his brotherly bond since he felt it was his duty.

After a while the Demon Slayers decapitated the last remaining demona and screamed in victory.

Everyone had the same disbelief that humans finally prevailed against these monsters. Most of them cried, they finally avenged their Family and Friends.

Ryuu absorbed their soul through [ Gluttony ] acquiring their attributes. Unfortunately, almost none of them and blood demon arts.

Now as for the last one, it was Muzan! Ryuu caught him before he could escape who was in full panic refusing to believe the reality that he is going to die. At that moment, his body suddenly froze as Ryuu instantly appeared in front of him as his eyes distorted in fear.

"I always wanted to do this…."

Ryuu then used his magic to make Muzan do a moonwalk that made him laugh much to the demons annoyance and anger.

"Come, it is time for your redemption."

He took out [ Yamato ] concentrating on the blade before slicing Muzan who thought he was the end but was dumbfounded that the blade passed through.

At that moment, His eyes caught a glimpse of a monstrous creature held in Ryuu's arms who looked exactly like him.

"I knew that it's possible to separate your humanity to your demon side. Now then let's try this."

Ryuu switched the [ Yamato ] with the rebellion and stabbed himself using the blade confusing Muzan but then the demon look alike slowly vanished as Ryuu his body slowly morphs and changes.

[ You have unlocked a physique system. ]

[ You have acquired Demon(Oni) King, Muzan physique. ]

He smiled amaze that his guess would work since [ Yamato ] separate and [ Rebellion ] unify which means that if he could try to sever specific parts like bloodline would be a massive boost for his lovers.

Ryuu did want to try stealing divinity and giving them to his lover if possible since [ Yamato ] is very motivated to try it.

Once done, Ryuu dragged Muzan in front of the Slayers, the Slayers looked at Muzan with Rage as if their looks could kill. Ryuu looked at Kagaya

"He's yours."

Kagaya bowed to Ryuu and felt an enormous debt to him. This Is the reason why they've achieved what they have done today. He swears that his Clan shall remember his name forever.

"I'm in your debt forever, thank you for this opportunity Ryuu!"

Ryuu only nodded, heading his way back to Mitsuri and Shinobu who watched the public execution of Muzan. Kagaya looked down at the cause of all their pain.

"If it wasn't for you! our family wouldn't suffer! we wouldn't have been labeled as the family of Demons! Do you know how many family members got burned because of you?! They were innocent! This time I'm gonna end you! all my life I've been waiting for this moment! At first I'm satisfied with others killing you! But I never thought I'd be the person to kill you!"  Kagaya shouted in anger and grief.

"Kagaya....you'll never know how I feel... ever since I was born death is already chasing me! in my mother's womb my heart has been constantly stopping yet I fought! When I was born I was labeled as dead! when I was to be burned I cried! I will keep fighting till the end Kagaya! you will NEVER feel how I f- "

Kagaya didn't listen to his nonsense anymore and Killed him by slashing his multiple brains and hearts. Kagaya finally lifted a burden in his heart as his wife supported him.

"It's finally the end..."

The Demon Slayers- no the people is now  celebrating they have achieved victory! There were a few heavily wounded and several minor injuries but no one died!

'It's refreshing...now I can finally see my parents again.'

He smiled finishing his long adventure in the Demon Slayer world and a short vacation is needed. Though Ryuu knew there's still work back home, namely joining Diabolical to learn more about his world.

"Did it work like you said?" Shinobu asked.

"Yes, I stole his ability but don't worry I don't feel any craving for human flesh."

Ryuu was a bit relieved since drinking blood was alright but flesh is out of the question.

"Thank Kami! I really thought you'd be the new Muzan!" Mitsuri said.

"I can be if you want to….in bed~?"

He smirked upon seeing Mitsuri blushed while Shinobu giggled at her friend. They've finally got what both wanted and reach the it's conclusion to open up another volume in their life.
