I'm just going to post this. I am not yet sure if I'll get back to frequent upload but I'll try.
Frankly, I almost forgot what I was planning and needed some refresher.
Anyway, enjoy this chapter for now.
==========
Dungeons. A place that could be called a phenomenon as it appeared in a highly concentrated area of miasmic Mana that clumped together to form a Dungeon. The amount of natural. Miasmic Mana that gathered would determine what type of dungeon that would appear.
It is classified from F, E, D, C, B, A and S. F and E are not worth mentioning for their lack of challenge that only produces mostly Rank 1 monsters. A rank 1 monster is normally treated as a pest or wild animal rather than a monster.
D and C are for those who are well capable of fighting and have experience killing monsters. Dungeons do not only spawn monsters but also their natural environment making some adventure to be extra careful and prepared if they wish to venture to such a place.
"I would have picked a D class Dungeon, Doran's Aquatic Cavern."
After a day of staying within Talosheim, Ryuu and his harem took the chance to challenge the dungeon to help them grow stronger. Vandalieu along with Basdia and Vigaro, a male ghoul with long muscular arms that reach the ground despite being upright wielding a large battle axe.
They are not the ghoul people would expect from stories from fiction. In lambda Ghouls are Vida Race, a twin of the True Ancestor Vampire when Vida mated with the undead corpse of the Hero Zakkart producing a Vampire and a Ghoul.
Ghouls have gray skin while females appear like normal humans while male have the head of a lion with long arms that reach the ground.
"Hey like they say, the stronger the better! At least this gives me some thrill!!"
"Yeah, I heard there are creatures like dinosaurs here, right?"
Justine was prepared to use her [ Gilgamesh Gauntlet ] to slaughter some monsters as they headed deeper to the dungeon while Nezuko was more intrigued at the monster they would capture.
"This place is called Borkus' Sub-Dragon Savannah?" Nezuko commented.
"That's correct, it's named after one of the Titan Heroes, Borkus. Where is he anyway?" Basdia asked.
"He didn't join since he might scare the monsters." Vandalieu said since Borkus was an undead Hero having the rank of 9 and his aura alone could scare them away.
A party of exceptional B-class adventurers or a single A-class adventurer is required to exterminate monsters of this Rank. Without such adventurers, there is only despair.
It would be strange for a Rank 9 monster to be incapable of destroying a small city-state. Though, not a single attack but rather its ability causes destruction in a short time.
Borkus had grown weaker due to being an undead and losing the Job system but had rank now. Still, he is a hero with massive battle experience. If he joined them then it would be overkill. Vigaro and Basdia are enough.
Trese looking around finds the place to be interesting since at first they came to the entrance that was made of ancient stone and as they descended find themselves at a completely different dimension having verdant tall grass and as the name suggests a savannah.
"Never thought I'll actually explore a dungeon. This place reeks of curse energy." Gojo commented amazed at how they came from an entirely different space.
He was able to discern the cursed Energy or corrupted mana that had made the dungeon. This place was first created by the demon king to produce more monsters in his army but Genie of Time and Magic, Ricklent, had placed a function that gives rewards to those that venture.
The place was a vast grassland covered in thick verdant grass, although there are a few floors dominated by leafy forests with rivers and lakes as if they had traveled back in time to the cretaceous period.
Dungeons are self sufficient and cannot be destroyed by normal means. The only time it is damaged is through Vandalieu Hollow King magic that he later obtained.
Perhaps Gojo's hollow purple is able to warp space and destroy it but he has yet to test it.
"This feels a lot like a video game. In our world, we are able to create small pocket dimensions to compete on rating games but this is completely different since they are wildlife inside." Rias shared her experience looking around the dungeon that felt like they weren't inside the dungeon.
"Really? I did hear from Van that otherworlder experience this simply from a game but it's really unbelievable to think about it." Basdia commented since she is a resident of Lambda therefore it is strange for her that otherworlder only experience dungeons through games.
"We don't have dungeons but we have old ruins that are similar." Erza commented since etherious doesn't work the way mana in lambda. Every world has different rules and laws like how certain algorithms are different yet follow the same foundation.
"How strong are the creatures inside this place?" Trese asked not to worry about her ability to defend herself and simply want to compare things.
"Strong, most of them are Rank 4 to 5. They have extremely thick hides with some having plates of armor."
Virgaro explains despite his thick and large muscles it is difficult fighting monsters since not only humans and any creature intellect have status and skills but also monsters.
Though, they don't have access to a job system besides Vida race, that mixture of monster and creature made within lambda.
To say that their strength base of their rank would be fatal as it could turn the tide if they have skills hidden. Though, it is mostly the Mid boss or the final boss that has powerful skills and has some intellect.
Monsters are ranked from 1 being the weakest and 10 beyond are creatures of unfathomable powers while 13 are the starting line to be considered as Demigod.
The term Demigod may seem to refer to a race or position, but it is simply a title. It describes beings who are not pure incorporeal gods, yet too great to be defined as mortal. In a broad sense, they commanded respect like gods and had stepped into the domain of divinity.
Gods typically don't have a physical body and couldn't exert the full extent of their might but Demigods don't have these limits. Some examples of demigods are Elder Dragons, Colossi, Beast Kings and Pure-breed Vampires.
In a broad sense, S-class adventurers, monsters and members of Vida's races above rank 13, could also be considered demigods.
"If I'm placed in adventurer class then what would I be?" Gojo asked while none of them could fully answer the question.
"Probably at least an S class adventurer but your Limitless makes things difficult." Ryuu commented since he has too Hax for S class to defeat him.
"I think if there's someone proficient enough in Space Attribute magic then it's possible to distort his Limitless and change space around it." Vandalieu gave his insight since they might be ways to go around his spatial manipulation.
"Then again, I might be able to erase his cursed energy with my Death Attribute Magic." Vandalieu did manage to remove a curse inflicted by a legendary magic item forced by a god.
Mana is fundamentally essential for curses to manifest their specific effects. Mana is necessary to turn a curse into something more than just a superstitious charm. Mana needs to be embedded into it through a ritual, chant, a sacrificial offering or something of that sort.
Though, fundamentally Cursed energy is different from mana due to how they operate, Vandalieu knew that he can still affect to a certain degree.
"I could already tell people were getting mad about that." Ryuu said thinking about people who love to scale characters' power even though often it is extremely inconsistent like Goku.
"Really? What do you mean?" Gojo asked.
"People like to dickriding your power believing it is the end all be all. you'd be surprised how insane your fans were when you died back in the world." He folded his arms recalling the lobotomy Kaisen.
"Lol, I hope I can visit your world and go to an anime convention. That would be funny." He would have a lot of fun messing with people.
"Just don't reveal your ability. It might get messy trying to calm the people down and denizen of the supernatural might take kindly to your presence." Trese warned him since she can see that he is the type who does whatever he is whenever he wants like Ryuu.
"Relax and I also think it's going to be fine." Ryuu smirks, imagining the fun they'll have messing with people.
"Oh! I also want to visit those! Maybe I'll dress up like my other self." Nezuko had read the entirety and appreciated her brother even more at the lengths he would do for her.
Even Kie was proud of Tanjiro's other self who didn't let himself drown in sadness and focused on saving Nezuko.
"Anime convention? What's that?" Basdia asked, hearing unfamiliar words from them.
"Just imagine people dressing up as their idol heroes." Justine plainly said to them. The group continued their journey inside the dungeon with everyone eager to see the monster inside the place.
"You're rather excited, Ryuu?" Kie commented as she look at Ryuu who couldn't help but keep looking around and seemingly couldn't take his excitement. He was the one who has been eager to be here ever since they arrived.
"Come on, this place has Dinosaurs! I only saw them from television and always dream of having my own zoo!"
Ryuu acted like a child as he said since he's been a dinosaur and dragon fanatic ever since he had been a child.
"Fufufu you sound rather cute when you are enthusiastic!"
"I agree, he's acting like the children back home."
Kanae giggled watching Ryuu while Shinobu gave a faint smile, never expecting him to act this way since he is normally serious yet laid back.
"I mean We're the same, right Van? Dinosaur!"
"Of course! I have a dinosaur skeleton displayed."
"Damn I'm going to do that once I'm home!"
Ryuu was carrying Van on his shoulder as the two comedically scouting for any sign of dinosaur while Basdia and Vigaro turned towards Justine.
"The two seem to get along." Basdia commented
"Yeah, they share the same interest." Vigaro said.
"Well, Ryuu always did want to visit a dinosaur museum but never had the chance." Justine smiled proudly to see Ryuu finally fulfilling his long time dream of having a dinosaur pet.
"Aren't dinosaurs just giant lizards? I've killed them"
"I need to take pictures of this. I always wanted to ride a dinosaur." Gojo said excited to experience his fantasy.
"Dinosaur? It is like the one from my world? They are devil fruit users who turn into one." Yamato recalled people from Wano who were able to turn into the prehistoric creature.
"No, dinosaurs are just wild beasts and don't have those ridiculous abilities." Ryuu said to him.
"I've also only seen them in storyboards. Never been in a museum before." Negi commented. After walking several minutes, the group finally encountered their first monster.
"Whoa! Raptors!!"
Ryuu exclaimed observing the raptors running around the tall grass where Vandalieu quickly hovered down using telekinesis from a magic called No-Attribute magic. Everyone immediately went to action.
"It's really surprising seeing these things." Gojo commented as a group of raptors tried to attack him but couldn't touch him.
"I wonder what their meat tastes like?" Yamato beat one with his club.
"A bit tough but I think it pairs quite well with miso." Vigaro said. Meanwhile, The living pathogen conjured blood turning them into chains to bind the raptors in order to tame them.
"Amazing! As expected of an otherworlder, you easily pinned down a rank 4 monster!" Vigaro said.
"Are you going to tame it, Ryuu?" Nezuko asked.
"Of course I will. Hold on."
The raptors were at least 10 and went closer to insert his mind into them, letting them join the [ Hivemind ]. Ryuu instantly felt the change and addition to his body, opting him to smile and unbind the raptors who became tamed moving their way to Nezuko who excitedly rode the thing.
"Nezuko be careful!"
"Yahoo! Let's go!!"
"I wish I could bring one back. It would be fun seeing my students' reactions."
"He tamed those monsters that easily? Hey Van does he have a cheat like ability you talking about." Basdia said.
"You can say that." Ryuu replied.
