Joanna was saddened to see her well-kept small apartment in a mess. Alex was drenched in water, and so were her couch and kitchen. "What exactly happened?"
"Well, I let myself in and was very hungry. You took too long, so I wanted to make myself something, but everywhere is so small, and hence the mess," he complained.
Joanna could not even ask about how he got in without a key but was concerned about him. "It's alright. Please go shower. I will clean up."
"And the food?" Alex asked, trying to make things hard for her, just so she wouldn't refuse his offer.
"I will make something for you by the time you are out," Joanna calmly assured him.
Cleaning her small apartment was nothing, and she was sure to indeed get him something to eat by the time he was out, but Alex's demands had just begun.
