his absolute first day in school

Easton stood in horror, taking in his surroundings.

The world is loud.

That was the first thought that came into his mind.

Currently Easton is at the front of the university gates. With him, a well-sized suitcase full of necessities.

It was almost too much for Easton's sensitive ears to handle. The loud chattering of gossiping students. The oppressing nature of passing alphas... Easton had half a mind to turn around and dash back home where it was safe and quiet. But he kept his ground, repeating his goal over and over again. To drown out the flood of noise.

I have to find M. I have to find M. I have to find M.

"Ready cousin?" Donovan's teasing voice entered his ears. In the midst of the chaos, Easton had forgotten that his older brother was with him.

"Yeah." Easton didn't have a very convincing look on his face.

"Don't worry, you'll get used to it in no time." Donovan reassured as he lead his younger brother to the dorms.

In a flash, two short months passed by. During that time, not once did Donovan visit his adoptive family. No one knew of his whereabouts. Alfie was the most distressed and even attempted to sneak out of the household to look for the missing omega himself. If only Gabrielle hadn't caught her bull-headed son sneaking around. If you could call it that. Alfie had knocked over a lamp in the midst of his "sneakiness".

Speaking of Alfie...

"Alfie misses you." Easton quietly said as he followed Donovan to the dorms. Luckily his parents had already done all the necessary steps to enroll him into school so all he had to do was show up.

At the mention of the name, Easton noticed how Donovan stiffened ever so slightly. His guesses weren't wrong. When he arrived on the campus the first thing he noticed was Donovan's pale complexion and the bags under his eyes. The only explanation: "Mark broke up with me."

"The dorms are there to your left. You have your schedule with you?" Donovan brushed the statement off.

"I do." And to prove to him he rummaged around his pockets before showcasing a now-worn schedule.

"Remember ID retake pictures are the day after tomorrow, if you want to..."

"I'm fine," Easton took a deep breath. "About Alfie-"

"I have to go. I'm a part of the welcoming committee." With that he left Easton in front of a building. One of many on this vast campus.

Black lines entered Easton's forehead. He took a deep breath before bravely walking in the direction Donovan pointed out, hoping to look for the Beta Dorm.

The Beta dorms were next the Omega dorms. But they're actually Omega safe houses. The university makes sure to employ top notch omega guards for the safety of the "weaker" students.

As he passed the heavily guarded dorms, he couldn't help but notice the commotion going on. There was an unmistakable alpha lurking near the dorms.

"Wow, perverts are everywhere." Easton stifled a chuckle. At the sound of his voice the alpha immediately whipped his head to Easton's direction, scaring the "beta".

Scared, Easton immediately broke eye contact and swiftly left. Donovan stressed the importance of not getting near to any alphas. He made Easton repeat it so many times that it's become a headache to him.

From his schedule he was in room i709 and the room came complete with another living being. Easton was at first flabbergasted at the thought of having to share his personal living space with another live human. Turns out that, it's normal! Can you believe that? How absurd!

He arrived at the [i] building. Apparently he's on the 7th floor, the 9th room. Sighing he made his way towards the stairs after seeing the "OUT OF ORDER" sign on the elevator.

Easton swears that an entire generation has passed by the time he makes it to the top. His stamina is usually on par with Gabrielle's, but apparently his weakness is seven flights of stairs while lugging a heavy suitcase. Laden with many items.

"You know there's an elevator on the other side...?" A very flat voice reached Easton's ears.

"Pant...really...?" Easton turned to the owner. A semi lanky beta was casually sitting in front of what Easton guesses is his room. Next to him is a suitcase many sizes smaller than Easton's. "I'm new."

"Yeah, who isn't?"

The remark caught Easton off guard. Right, the person just didn't know how much of a noob Easton was at this entire society and life thing.

"I'm Easton." Easton straightened up and pulled his luggage over before stopping in front of the boy. He bent down to his height to offer his hand. "What's yours?"

"You're crazy if you think I'm going to touch your sweaty hand." The beta recoiled.

"Oh." With that Easton awkwardly stood up. At a closer look he noticed that the Beta was pretty muscular for his type. His flaming blue hair was an eyesore to look at. Easton never knew that people could simply change their hair color as they wished. As easily as choosing a new outfit to wear.

"I'm in Room 9, do you know where that is?" This beta wasn't friendly. Easton decided to stay away from him.

"Just my luck," With that the beta stood up. "I'm always stuck with the weird ones."

Easton didn't understand anything that came out of his mouth.

"Hey Roomie!" Peach colored fingers snapped in front of Easton's dazed eyes. "Didn't you hear anything I said? Open the door. I forgot my key."

"Ah... right." Easton fumbled into his pockets, looking for his card. Apparently some debit or credit cards can open doors. How magical is the world?

The moment Easton produced the card in his hand it was rudely swiped away from the blue haired boy.

"Welcome to your new life." He said just before he slammed the door in his roommate's face. Locking a still very confused Easton out.

Huh? How'd things come to this?

This is the 100k thank you chapter.

I never imagined those blessed numbers would ever change from 001 to 100 XD
