Jasper Knight's POV

As I explained to my mate that Zaraphine was in fact my blood gasps sounded behind me. I guess Selene never told her sister that we were indeed intimate. "I will find my daughter Esther and if I find a single scratch on her that is from your hand, I will kill you myself. Do you understand me?" I question harshly. She gives a slight nod to which I turn on my heel and head upstairs to the office. After I make it to the office I hear footsteps on the stairs. 'Good. I thought they would stay down there forever.' My wolf says. 'Hush! I understand their confusion.' I tell him. As I cut him off the door swings open and in comes Atticus, Lakota, Leo, and of course Eos all looking extremely irritated.

"I am guessing you would all like some answers. Especially you, Eos. If you would like me to explain then I need you to get Selene here as well. It is not just my story to tell." I tell them before closing my eyes and lean back in the chair. I hear Eos huff in annoyance which causes me to smirk. 'Are we really gonna see her again?' My wolf asks me as he's jumping up and down in my head. 'Relax will you. Yes, we are going to see her. But if you can not stay calm I will not let you speak with her.' I tell him. 'Of course I will stay calm but she is not here right now so I can't keep that promise at this second. Only when she arrives will I put on the best show ever. Can we go run before she gets here? I need to get rid of some of this energy.' My wolf says practically panting. 'Fine. Just shut up!' I growl at him.

"I'm going for a run. No you all can not come. Boys let your packs know that I will be running the territory so they need to stay out of my way." I say as I stand up and leave the office. 'Eos, please inform me when Selene arrives.' I mind link her. 'Oh, goddess Jasper! Don't do that! It has been years since you've been in my head. You can not just start doing it again.' She scolds but I can hear the laughter behind her words. 'I am sorry Eos. But please do notify me when she arrives.' I tell her trying to hold in my own laughter. 'Of course Jasper. Go calm down that pesky wolf of yours. I can hear him as well.' She says letting her laughter ring through my head. As soon as I take my first step outside my wolf pushes himself forward and takes control. Within a few seconds, I am standing in my wolf form. I am truly the only one like me which is why I assume my dearest Selene decided to have a child with me. She knew she needed a strong wolf to mate with. It was the only way she would produce an heir to the Temples. I am a fully golden wolf, with a single black stripe down the length of my back with blood-red eyes. Nobody knows for sure why my eyes are red as I am the only wolf known within our kind with red eyes. Your typical red eyes come from the vampires and only the vampires which is why I am considered a miracle. I shake out my fur and let out a long howl before taking off around the territory.

Selene's POV

All I have been able to do since Eos left me and Endymion is pace around his office. I haven't stopped for two days. I don't understand why she hasn't called. At least to check in with us, or even notify us if Zaraphine was not there and she left for another pack in search of her. None of this makes sense to me. "Darling please sit down. She will call when she can. You can not keep doing this. You are going to put holes in my floor. I understand you are worried for her but it is out of our hands for now. Eos knows what she is doing." Endymion says as he walks towards me and grabs my hands. 'Selene! Can you hear me?' Eos voice rings through my head. I jerk my hand away from Endymion and shout out loud, "YES! Eos I can hear you! What is going on!?"

"Darling if she is in your head you have to respond in your head. " Endymion says trying to hold in his laughter. I give him a scowl before doing what he says, 'Eos? Do you have her?' 'No, but I do need you to come to Dark Moon. It is important. We have Esther locked in the cells but your presence has been requested.' She tells me. 'By who?' I question warily. 'Just come here sister. I promise it is important.' She says. 'Okay. I'm leaving now.' I look over to Endymion and give him a sad smile, "I'm sorry my love but I have to leave. She needs me to go to Dark Moon. Zaraphine isn't there but they have Esther.''He squeezes my hand and gives me a slight nod, "Go my love. Your daughter needs you now more than ever."

I take off through his packhouse and make it outside before heading to the edge of the territory. That is one thing I can not stand. I can't teleport while in someone's pack. I can only teleport to and from the outskirts of where I want to go. It definitely puts a hold on when I can travel between packs. Once I reach no man's land I turn towards the packhouse to see Endymion standing on the front porch with a sad smile on his face. "Goodbye, my love. I will see you soon. I promise." I tell him knowing he can hear me from this distance. I imagine standing outside of Dark Moon territory and I feel my body lift off the ground and I'm traveling through the air faster than the speed of light.
