Test and Trials

Leo excused himself from jason and went to the rooftop, then dialed the grand library and asked for connecting to his clone by desctibing his attaire, few minutes later clone2 was received at yhe end and leo asked him to head to the apartment.

"Hey, something urgent cameup, did you by any chance read the beast encyclopedia?"

"Yeah, why, and why do i have to return to the apartment." (Clone2)

"Good, we have hope, there will be an exam so i will have to unsummon you, quickly go back to the apartment, take a taxi, you have the money i gave you right?"

"Sure, not sure what 10$ could do, but i will try." (Clone2)

"A-Alright, message me from my computer when you get there, bye." Leo said awkwardly and cut the call.

He waited about 15 minites when he got a message on his text app from clone2 and he immediately, unsummoned him, this time too he experienced a terrible headache but he was able to persist throughy without fainting, but he did feel hungry for some reason.

Leo then went back to his classroom and took his seat near jason, after few more minuites, an unknown individual entered classroom with miss rudy and introduced himself as an invigilator, and at 2.30pm, the exam started.

It was a new experience for leo to feel this ease at an exam although there are some questions that he couldnt get, he finished faster than everyone and rechecked his answers, helped give some hints to jason secretly. After the exam, it was evening but everyone was give the rest of the day off, neo headded back home.

When leo went back to his apartment, his apartment door was open and a set of clothes were on his computer chair and keyboard

"Son of a bi*ch, you left the door open." leo cursed clone2 out loud, thankfully nothing was stolen.

Leo summoned both clone1 and clone2, clone1 showed dis-satisfaction but did not say anything and jest went to a chair and fiddled with his phone.

"Sorry guys, there wasn't enough time for me." Clone2 spoke with a discouraged tone.

"Huh, no, it wasnt your fault, but i guess we did good, atleast well get an E rank potion, i think ...i hope." (Leo)

"Look on the bright side, you didnt feel any pain this time." (Clone1)

"Yeah, its getting milder, but, guys, we dont have any money." (Leo)

"Well, lets go hunting, leo, summon a clone with good shooting skills or at the least interested in guns or hunting, oh and dont make him like a happy samaritan." (Clone1)

Leo thought for a second and then summoned a new clone.

*pooff*

The newly created Clone3 looked around and slowly went towards the closet, put on a black hoodie and grey shorts.

"Arent we going?" (Clone3)

'Isn't that how i talk?' thought Clone1 as he glanced at Clone3 and then to Leo.

"Thought you might like it." leo said with a shrug

"Guys do i have to come?" Clone2

"Yep, all hands on deck." Said leo as he gestured heading out.

The squad of four then went to the the nearest hunting grounds, the Alpine hunting grounds which hosts horned rabbits, these are mutated rabbits, the mutation caused it to become a carnivorus, has a sharp horn on its head with red eyes that has a ferocious glint hidden in it, their teeth were sharp, and jaws can move on an abnormal ark, they are super fast but can be killed by guns, so its a place even unawakened can use, thus neo was a frequent patreon here.

The squad entered the large concrete walls through a guarded door and inside they are met with the manager, leo showed his awakener id and he explained that they are his clones and then they were given access inside.

Normally the hunting grounds take 20 percent of the hunters loot as their service charge and equipment fee except the fee per magazine, but now leo's ability is problamatic for them, according to the rule, a hunter should only be charged 20% but he came with 3 more clones, so there was a bit of a scuffle.

"Alright leo, since we've known each other for sometimes and as a treat for your awakening, i will only charge you 20% today, but i will have to get advice from the hunter association so, next time, you might get charged extra, you cool with that."

"Sure sir, i appreciate it." leo spoke with gratitude and took a mental note to fully utilize this opportunity.

After that, they moved throught the stairs leadng to the walkway, which is used by hunters to position thenselves in a safe and advantageous position when shooting.

The squad picked up guns from a nearby stall, loaded nagazine and positioned themself, clone2 was a bit clumsy with the gun but the experience of using a gun from leo made it feel natural, for clone2 it was intriguing and conflicting.

Leo threw some meat as bait into the ground, waited and when a group arrived, they started firing, the horned rabits ate sensitive to sound and is faster than a normal rabbit, so it was hard to kill those, but the group effort managed to kill around 40 of them, which was a tremendous relied for leo as he normally only get 6 or 7, out of the four clone3 scored the highest 18, clone1 scored second place with 12 and clone2 was the last with only 3 and leo scored 7.

"Wow that was big improvement, it seems characteristics do make a difference." Leo said looking at clone3.

"Yeah you did good, keep it up." (Clone1)

*Tsk* " all three of you have the same brain and same body as me, but look at the difference, unskilled trash." Clone3 spoke in a cold tone with disdain and disguest.

"WHAT BASTARD, KNOW YOU PLACE." Clone1 spoke in anger and frustration while moving towards Clone3 with a curled fist.

Instead of retaliating with words, Clone3 pointed his gun at Clone1.

Leo and Clone2 witnessing this went towards Clone3 with wary steps.

"Whoa whoa, calm down!" Leo shouted but clone3 points the gun at leo.

"Easy there fellow, if he dies, all of us dies." Clone1 spoke while slowly closing the distance.

"You know, i want to know what happens if a clone dies." Saying this Clone3 points his gun back at Clone1 and fires at point blank."
