Lin Yi, seeing the situation, displayed a look of panic on his face; he knew Lin Ba meant what he said and would follow through with his threat.
However, Lin Yi's head did not move at all.
Lin Ba saw Lin Yi's reaction and a hint of confusion appeared on his face. He simply couldn't understand why Lin Yi was not afraid of death. It was indeed bizarre. Could there be a master behind Lin Yi guiding him?
With this possibility in mind, Lin Ba became somewhat wary. He did not dare to behead Lin Yi right away, but instead slapped him on the shoulder, knocking him out.
Then, he picked up Lin Yi.
Looking at the unconscious Lin Yi, his expression became much more solemn, for he couldn't guarantee Lin Yi's true strength.
Thus, he had to be cautious, lest Lin Yi's master find out that he had killed Lin Yi; that would certainly bring him no end of trouble.
However, now that he had killed Lin Yi, there was no need for so much concern anymore.
