The Brother. [4]

Inside Jin-Ah's home, leaning against the kitchen cupboards as she screamed at the top of her lungs from the torture being ensued to her right arm by her brother.

The object being used this time was a pair of scissors that were modified at the end to be a thin and razor sharp clamp that tightly gripped a centimeter length of skin and rip it off "like a extra long band-aid." He said happily before he pulled too much and broke off the short strip of skin.

"Ah, f**k. Your skin keeps breaking too soon." He said in a disappointment tone, taking the hot iron rod and burning her the ripped off skin for the seventh time in a row. Jin-Ah could not help but scream and cry at the same time. He stood up and walked to her grandmother and rolled up her sleeve, about to use his modified version of scissors when Jin-Ah screamed.

"Stop it! It was me! I told you it was me!" Jin-Ah yelled with tears streaming down her pale cheeks.

"But she said the same thing," He said pointing to her grandmother and grabbing her white hair while asking, "Hey, you old bag of bones. Who called the cops?"

"Me. I… called them." Her grandmother replied very softly. She was even more pale than Jin-Ah despite receiving less torture, but she still insisted that it was her.

"Grandmother, please stop. Tell him it was me." Jin-Ah begged repeatedly, but her grandmother still insisted.

"See? So now I'll torture you both until one of stops lying." He said, releasing her head using the scissors to tightly grip and slowly start removing a strip of her grandmother's skin. She screamed in a hoarse manner since her throat was sore as she wriggled weakly, breaking off the strip.

"Ah! Stop moving!" He swore in between slamming the butt of the iron rod on her temple multiple times.

"Stop!" Jin-Ah yelled at him as his hand paused mid-swing. He tilted his head, watching blood slowly spread out from the wound on her head and onto the wooden floor.

"Grandmother?" Jin-Ah softly called out, getting no reply as her grandmother's eyes were shut.

"Sh*t, did I kill her?" He blurted out nonchalantly while poking her on the shoulder and then moving his finger close to her nose before adding, "Her breathing is shallow. Old thing will be dead soon."

"I told you. It was me! I called the cops so why didn't you f**king listen! You bastard!" Jin-Ah yelled in anger as he looked at her and snickered to himself.

"I know." He simply replied.

"Then why?" Jin-Ah asked, slowly breaking down.

He remained absolutely silent as he looked at the blood on the floor with a blank expression before looking at Jin-Ah.

"Because I thought it'd be fun."

Sun-Jae was breathing heavily as he sluggishly ran up the street leading to Jin-Ah's home when he saw an old car drive past, immediately recognising the man driving to be Jin-Ah's brother who had a wide smile on his face.

Sun-Jae looked at the car driving down and picked up his speed and ran to the gate just when a police car that responded to a burglary arrived and two policemen came out. Sun-Jae ran to the open gate where the two had entered when they saw him. He immediately showed them his police I.D card and ran past them, entering the house.

"Jin-Ah! Grandmother! Where are you?!" Sun-jae yelled, walking into the kitchen where he was Jin-Ah's grandmother laying down on the bloody floor with nobody else in sight.

"Call an ambulance!" He yelled at the policeman who entered and the elderly person bleeding and tied up on the floor and immediately pulled out his phone.

Sun-Jae ran and kneeled down and picked her head up, calling out to her as she slowly opened her eyes and groaned weakly.
