From above, there was a deafening and overwhelming sound of horns. Nida could feel the sound pressing down on them since it was so loud. They don't know what the purpose of the loud horns is, but they know they're obviously coming from Angel's spell.
Daniel was shouting something, but Nida was unable to understand anything.
The sky was shrouded in a layer of dense, black clouds. As massive Earthen spines protruding upward from below drove veins along the landscape apart, the ground began to tremble. It took everyone a moment to regain their balance, but for some, it was already too late.
Vehicles were being thrown. One of the unexpected protrusions launched a bus. It rocketed over Nida's head before landing on a gathering of cowering college students who had been pushed out of a nearby alley by the horns of the crashing buildings and the sound of falling bricks.
