Gauging

Inspector Raksha was an imposing person despite his lax attitude.

He stood at a tall 9ft 10 with long blue flaming hair and deep blue eyes that perfectly fit his handsome face.

His skin was dark purple and his muscles were so pronounced and refined their mere existence applied a natural pressure so high it could destroy the truths of the world.

He was a mighty true immortal cultivator and a genius from the last era. His aura was powerful beyond words yet his calm and lax attitude gave the impression he was a normal man.

Any other being whether mortal or god would've died or gone mad by his sheer presence but Lucius faced him with no issue. This was a testimony of how powerful he had gotten and the incredible prowess his pupils were capable of.

'An extreme Earth cultivator? He's really powerful.'

Even though he could stand in front of him, he knew this man could kill him before space could even register his actions. He was in a totally different realm.

"Yes, that would be a pleasure. Though I have to say, pretty strange seeing an extreme earth cultivator work for a temple known for their soul prowess. Wouldn't the Syndicate of Primal Beginning be better?"

Comu was truly shocked by Lucius's words, for many reasons. The fact that Lucius could identify the extremity Raksha was walking on was a very impressive feat on top of the fact that he, as an inhabitant of the gravel, knew about the temples and its structures left her even more baffled.

Raksha on the other hand wasn't surprised at all, he had been doing this for years and got used to stuff like this. He knew how many monsters the Reizon house held hidden despite them staying in this lower place, so their Scion being this knowledgeable was expected.

Before he could answer, the 27 ancestors that had seemed weak and defenseless before, appeared behind Lucius with their auras matching the ones of the inspectors. They didn't say anything but simply stood behind their patriarch.

'What kind of madness is this? 27 powerhouses on the level of Grand Sect Elders? Did they know of our presence this whole time? Well since they know we're from the temple they won't dare to try anything… hopefully.' thought Comu as she started to get agitated by the aura of the ancestors.

The 27 ancestors of the Clan were all monsters of their own categories and they had obviously predicted that all of this would happen. During the discussion they had with their new patriarch, they were ordered to act weak and let the inspectors do as they wished.

Raksha saw through all of this but he still stayed calm and composed, his self-confidence as high as it could possibly be.

"Well, my ancestors have a very deep connection with the temple of light and in a moment of enlightenment, I saw opposites complement each other so I thought why not. Anyway, we're glad to have you in our academy. The new academic year starts in 3 years as we're still scouting for the moment. We'll come to pick you up when it's time."

Said Raksha as he handed a golden card, that signified his admission to the academy, to Lucius.

No more words were exchanged and the duo vanished.

Ancestor Okesh stepped forward and executed a spell.

[Hands of Lumenia.]

The whole plane deconstructed before being reconstructed the next second in an intact state. All the damage the black bolt had done was erased and the foundations of the plane were strengthened.

"That should be good." Proudly said the ancestor as she looked at her work.

Lucius smiled before they all teleported away.

———

After resting for a few days and taking the time to fully tame the dark lightning, Lucius was back to work.

He only had 3 years to fully prepare and train for the academy and to do that he needed to have a proper idea of what his abilities were.

Within a large metallic room full of screens displaying various data and reports Lucius stood in front of a massive silver obelisk that had tons of runic inscriptions all over its surface.

Next to Lucius, ancestor Lumium stood. He was the one in charge of the technological advancements of their house.

He was a simple old man with long ash-grey hair and piercing blue eyes. Even though he wasn't particularly handsome, the smirk on his aged face told otherwise. He was definitely trouble in his youth.

"Alright, when you're ready place your hand on the Obelisk and let the energy flow through you. Once the analysis is done the rest should be pretty intuitive. As per the rules laid down by the first patriarch, only you are allowed to know the true results of your analysis. I'll have to excuse myself."

"Thank you, ancestor Lumium. You should still be able to see my overall analysis results, we need them at the academy either way. See you later."

Ancestor Lumium disappeared and Lucius was left alone in the room.

He placed his hand on the Obelisk and a bright light shone through the whole room before a strange energy started infiltrating and analyzing every part of his pillars.

——

All the other Ancestors nervously stood in front of Ancestor Lumium's Headquarters.

Due to Lucius's young age and relatively nice attitude towards them they had started treating him as their Junior while still holding the respect he deserved as a Patriarch, so they currently hoped the best for him.

"His awakening was pretty hectic so he's bound to have awakened some nice things…right?" Nervously asked ancestor Layla.

Ancestor Layla was a breathtaking woman, to say the least.

She had long crimson hair that cascaded over the curves of her plump behind, hazelnut eyes that radiated love and kindness, and a perfect face adorned with enticing rosy lips.

She wore no makeup but her beauty spoke for itself as her presence stood out from the rest.

Ancestor Okesh looked at ancestor Layla's worried expression with a smile on her face.

"Don't worry. We need to have faith in our little patriarch."

Might post another chapter tonight who knows.
