His knowledge was already broad and there was hardly anything about the first few Academy semesters that he didn't know. That was the case with the theoretical knowledge shared in the Imperial Academy. His instructors had been old scholars and their knowledge was much broader than the things he could learn in the Imperial Academy.
Of course, knowledge was not the reason why he entered the Imperial Academy. There were more important things than the teachings he received.
