Chapter 2

Odele likes chocolate cakes, I'll give her one slice of it. Oh, Odele likes cookies right? I'll get these for her too. I think these are enough.

The plate on my hand is filled with Odele's favorite food, I hope she likes these. I grab a glass of syrup for Odele. My left hand holds the glass of syrup and my right hand brings the plate of food.

I walked to the balcony where Odele sat. I think the guests don't really pay attention to where the main character actually went. She doesn't even greet the other guests after dancing with her fiance.

From the ballroom I can see her shadows behind the curtain. The wind blows her silver hair. Her face looks hollow. Her watery eyes– wait, is she crying? Why?

"Odele, I'm back" I gave her the plates of food. My hand was moving by itself wipe tears from her face.

"What happened to Odele? Is there anything that annoys you?" I tried to talks soft as possible so she's not surprised. If there's anyone that annoys her, I'll end their life. No one can disturb her.

"Nothing happened, I just remembered something that made me cry." She tried to hold back the tears and eat the cake that I gave her.

I want to hug her so bad. She must have been hurt by those memories. I need to hold myself. I can't let her panic and cross the line.

"Thank you, Aryan," she smiled. Her tears have stopped. Thank god she's calm now.

"Eat the cake and calm down yourself" I said, Odele nodded.

She ate the cake and the cookies that I gave her. I'm happy that she ate the food that I gave. I'm happy. I give her a glass of syrup.

"Aryan, what did we like to do before?" Odele asked, her face facing the night sky.

"We like to go to the hill to see the night sky, don't we? '' I looked up to the sky. The stars brighten up the night sky. All of these started to bring memories.

"I see" her face before smiling, now turned into a void again. I don't know what Odele thought of. But my chest hurts.

Is she not satisfied with what I said? Then what makes her restless and sad.

"Odele, is there any problem?" I put my hands on her face. Made her look at me.

"Ya, ada" jawabnya. Kini mata itu mulai berair lagi. "Masalahnya adalah aku, siapa itu Odele? Kenapa aku ada di tubuh ini? Apa yang terjadi padaku?" Air matanya kini membasahi wajahnya.

"Yeah, there is," she answered. Now her eyes started to cry again.

But does she mean that? Is the person in front of me not Odele? That makes me remember how her personality has changed these days. It doesn't sound and feel like Odele either.

"What do you mean?"

" I'm not Odele, I'm not Odele, I'm not Odele that you know Aryan. I'm not her, no…" her cries grew louder.

Felt like that was the truth. I pulled her to my shoulder and let her cry. She cried quite long, but I'll wait until she calms down again.

"Odele, oh no… can you tell me what you meant?" Now she has stopped crying. I pat her head slowly.

"Aryan, I'm not Odele…few days ago when Odele's Father called me to eat together- wait no. Few days ago I was in my room, I mean 'my' room not Odele's. I was in call with my friend, once I close the call I sat in front of the mirror. That mirror pulled me in, when I woke up I already be Odele" her hands hugged me tightly.

If their soul was switched, then where is Odele's soul?

"Calm down, I'll help you go back to yourself if that what you want" I don't know what Odele is thinking. Small that I know these few weeks she shut herself in her room.

"Aryan, please help me adapting here" she looked into my eyes. She asked me to help her. Her eyes tells me she determined to do so.

"Sure, let's continue this tomorrow. Let we enjoy the party first, it's Odele birtgday afterall" I gave her sweet smiled of mine.

Really, what just happened in this bitter sweet world
