OiM - Chapter 1: Kai
Life, it's like a Divine Comedy!
Christopher Vaulez, later to be known as Kai, fought so hard for justice and good, only to die at the hands of those he once trusted and followed.
With his death, a new clarity came to his mind, the dark and lost world became so beautifully clear before his clear and pure eyes.
Kai found himself in the loving arms of a pale woman, but with a beautiful smile on her face.
Kai found himself being watched by a tall, imposing figure, wearing luxurious robes, having a sultry gaze, as she reached out her firm hand to Kai's forehead.
Kai felt the warm, rough touch slide across his forehead, before unrecognizable words rang out, the loving smile became cheerful, as the man turned his back and left the room.
He looked confused at it all, but understood, that maybe... he was reborn!

Kai Snizer, the name given to the youngest son of the Patriarch of the Snizer Clan, Thomas Snizer!
The young man was born to a concubine, whom Thomas himself did not know existed, until he discovered that she was pregnant.
At first he thought it was just another deception, but he nursed her until the child was born, took the test, and yes, it was his son.
Thomas Snizer, who is 43 years old, is a fair and responsible man, as he had the courage to have relationships with other women outside of marriage, naturally he will have the responsibility to assume his mistakes.
And so, Kai Snizer and Makima, were integrated into the Snizer Clan!

The Snizer Clan is a Clan ruled by the main lineage of the Snizer Family, a Clan with over 250 years of history, being considered Medium sized due to the amount of members, but in terms of martial power, being almost categorized as a High Level Clan!
Thomas Snizer is currently a Martial Arts Master, who is at the peak of the Exalted Realm, holding the title of "The Butcher".
And the Snizer Clan belongs to the Black Faction, it may sound like something evil, it's just that any force that is considered Neutral to some extent, is considered part of the Black Faction.

The Snizer Clan is considered a Middle Level Clan, both in size and martial strength, bordering on the strength of the High Level Clans, as Thomas Snizer is close to reaching the Unrestricted Realm, but it is not known when, it could be tomorrow or 20 years from now!
Thomas Snizer has 2 wives and 1 concubine.
1st Wife, Sasha Gray of 40 years, has conceived a total of 4 children, 2 male and 2 female, they are:
Fabio Snizer, age 25, eldest son of Thomas Snizer and future Heir to the Clan.
Caio Snizer, age 24, Thomas Snizer's 2nd son.
Leticia Snizer, age 23, 1st daughter of Thomas Snizer.
Sabrina Snizer, age 15, 3rd daughter of Thomas Snizer.
2nd Wife, Liliana Scamber, age 38, also conceiving 4 children for Thomas, 2 male and 2 female, of whom:
Henrique Snizer, age 20, 3rd son of Thomas Snizer.
Malena Snizer, age 20, 2nd daughter of Thomas Snizer and twin sister of Henrique.
Klaus Snizer and Katarina Snizer, age 8, Thomas Snizer's 4th youngest child, also twins.
Finally we have the new member in the family, Makima, a commoner whom Thomas Snizer hooked up with on one of his trips, getting her pregnant in the process.

And Makima, as you already know, gave birth to Kai Snizer, the youngest son of Thomas Snizer!
This makes up the main lineage of the Snizer Clan, which has several branches throughout the region, as well as being a Clan with more than 200 members!

The news about a son out of wedlock took everyone by surprise, even more so the fact that Thomas had accepted him and integrated him into the family.
If not for the insistence and anger, Thomas would likely take Makima as his 3rd wife and not a concubine.
Thomas in the last few days, heard many complaints and "suggestions" on how to deal with these new tenants, but he ignored them, gave a small Manor and some servants to her, as well as financial support.
Thomas also spoke to Makima, being quite serious in saying that he does not love her, but he is a man and as such will take responsibility for his actions.
Makima also said. - "You know, I did not want to come to disturb you, nor did I wish to get involved with Murim, but... my parents kicked me out and I had nowhere else to go, I do not wish for this child to starve, or be aborted... I apologize for causing you trouble."
Makima is a young and gentle woman, she understands that this whole situation was just a spur of the moment thing, maybe Thomas was somehow drunk and out of his mind, he saw a beautiful peasant girl and naturally went to take satisfaction.
But she really had nowhere else to go, so she found him so she could raise her child.
Thomas didn't react much to her words, but Makima won a few points in his mind, so he left.
Kai in the arms of his Makima, watched all this, constantly noticing Thomas's glances in his direction, as if he noticed something.
For the past few days, Kai was so confused... he couldn't come up with a logical solution to all of this.
He became a baby after he died, keeping his memories for some mysterious reason, not to mention that even if it is little, he can feel within himself, the Paranormal Power!
Due to the lack of the ability to measure, it's hard to estimate how much Paranormal Exposure he has, but from the volume, quality and affinity, he believes it's around 3~5%.
'I've never known of a baby with Paranormal Exposure before...' - Kai thought with some concern of how this will affect him.

One morning, Makima woke up in her comfortable bed, smiling, before getting up and going to her crib.
Kyaaaahhh!
Soon she let out a shrill cry as she advanced to the crib, touching her baby, who is now pale, looking like a corpse.
Her skin is cold, Makima has a desperate look on her face, tears falling from her eyes, servants came in worried and saw Makima with the pale Kai in her arms.
They all thought the same: Is the child dead?!
But then they saw her with her eyes open, looking around in confusion, where quickly the servants left to call a doctor, the chief butler went to warn Thomas about it.
Makima was crying, hugging her son, wanting to know what happened, why her son is like this? What are these black marks all over his body, dirt?
...
Soon Makima, accompanied by Thomas, were watching while a doctor diagnoses the little pale baby, with several black squiggles all over his body, which make no sense, they tried to clean, but this is his skin.
Thomas frowned, wondering what had happened to the child, wondering if any of his wives had become angry and caused this to an innocent child!
This made him very angry and he ordered it to be investigated just in case.
"Master Thomas... I don't quite know what to say..." - Said the old doctor in a fearful tone, Makima in tears.
"Your son doesn't seem to be immediately life-threatening, but... what caused his skin color change and those black marks, it's not good at all, I'm even surprised, because such a thing I've seen before, but it was in the Martial Corpses..." - Said the doctor hesitantly.
"Someone from the Cadaveric Cult did that?!" - Thomas asked coldly.
"No! That was caused naturally... it's hard to explain, can I just talk to you?" - Asked the doctor calmly.
Thomas frowned, then nodded, telling Makima to stay with Kai.

"What is so secret for us to be alone?" - Thomas asked quietly.
"Master Thomas, your son has all of his Martial Veins cleared, just as his body seems to have undergone a purification, making his body more adaptable to the Martial Arts, but I believe from your reaction, you have nothing related to this, right?" - The doctor asked.
"You mean my son either received a Body Purification from some Martial Arts Master of the Unrestricted Realm or above, or he was born this way?" - Thomas asked shocked.
"Yes! I still need some more diagnostics to know if this is 100% natural or someone secretly caused it." - Said the doctor calmly.
"What about the relationship with the Martial Corpses? What about his pale skin?" - Thomas asked frowning.
"In case what I assume is true...maybe it's a curse from heaven!" - Said the doctor sighing.
"Curse of Heaven?!" - Thomas frowned even more heavily.
"Indeed, I believe your son may have been born with one of those legendary Constitutions, but I'm not talking about something with the Azure Dragon Constitution, Heavenly Demon Constitution and so on, I'm talking about a Divine Constitution, which make even the heavens envy your son and curse him fearing what he may become!" - Said the doctor calmly.
Thomas was shocked hearing this, not being able to believe such a thing is possible.
"If that is true...what can I do to cure him?!" - Thomas asked seriously.
"It's best not to do anything drastic, help by making him ingest materials with a lot of vitality, to keep his vitality high enough to stabilize any problems, as well as strengthening medicinal baths so that his physical abilities don't regress due to the Aura of Death inside his body.
The best thing to do is to help him little, because to undo the Heaven's Curse, he needs to do it with his own efforts!" - Said the doctor intensely.
Thomas scratched his chin and asked. - "How much will it cost?"
"... around 100 Gold Coins... per week!" - The doctor said.
Thomas widened his eyes, that is a huge sum, had it been monthly, he might think, but this is already too much.
"From what I could see of the Death Aura in his body, it will cause a rapid consumption of his vitality, so if left untouched, he is likely to die before 15, with treatment, we can extend it to 30~35 years." - Said the doctor as he explained himself.
Thomas frowned thoughtfully before saying. - "20 years... how much will it take for him to live to his 20s?"
"... I believe 20 Gold Coins will be enough." - The doctor said.
"... ok, I will pay that amount. Even if it is my son, I will not jeopardize the clan's finances, this is the most I can do for the child." - Thomas said and soon returned to Makima's side.

"The child will be fine, I will pay for her treatment, but for her to live long enough, she will have to work hard and cultivate herself!" - Thomas said to Makima.
Makima had tears in her eyes and asked. - "Will you help him?"
Thomas looked at the two of them, closed his eyes, sighed and said. - "I will do what I can financially, I will also provide some Martial Arts teachers and access to the Clan library, that's all I can do."
"Thank you! Thank you so much!" - Said Makima kneeling down while hugging Kai.
Thomas sighed at the sight, then helped Makima up and put her in a carriage and informed her to follow the doctor's instructions and not to say anything to anyone, just say that it is an illness that is being treated.
Makima would obey.
And so began Kai's childhood, being bathed in medicinal baths and constantly ingesting bitter and disgusting medicines, all because of a small mistake.
