Explosion

A/N: This one-shot may be a little different. As this one will be set from a few different views, from people I've introduced and new people I haven't. There will be quite a few new OCs of mine I'm introducing. Kumi(Noragami Oc) and Àine (adventures of Merlin Oc) are a friends Oc's and the rest are mine. This also might be a four-parter as it's actually quite long.

Elodie's POV:

This mission was different, we had gotten word from some of some supernaturals on the outside that there was a couple that was captured by humans and was being held in a secret institute. From what they said their names were Kiroko Ashidu and Kato, Kumi. I assembled a few people it was a stealth and rescue mission as we couldn't have too many supernaturals, but we had to have strong and ones good at strategy.

We could be walking into a trap, but we could potentially save two people it was worth the risk.

"Elodie what's the plan for this one?" Nica whispered from beside me as I looked on at the base in the middle of a clearing, it was relatively big and square but well hidden within these woods. Nica was the only one I brought from my pack, Nica was the smallest, stealthiest, and had a good strategy, her smaller wolf was the best bet for this mission.

"We are going to split into two teams, one with you leading and one with me so we can keep in contact. The two supernatural's are supposed to be kept apart so my team will be getting Kumi and yours will get Kiroko," I turned around to address the whole group as I explained my plan, "Cever you and one of your knights will come with me along with Lilly. Aine, Skylar, and Cever's other knight will go with Nica. Both teams will enter from the two different entrances and go from there, we should be finished within an hour or so if one of the groups is compromised either I or Nica will know through our link." I looked at them and all their faces showed understanding and determination in the plan.

I smiled and turned back towards the base, and I motioned with my hands for the other team to go to their entrance.

"Be safe Nica,"

"You two El,"

Once I got the signal, they were in their position I moved my group to our entrance, and we silently took out the guards at the door. Lilly had waved her hand the door opened before I could search for the keys, I looked up impressed before she smiled and led the way. Aine and Lilly were important as with their spells and magic they could track and map out the whole building.

The rest of us followed her in and I kept my ears open for sounds of any enemy footsteps, so far we had encountered none, and the farther in we went the more a bad feeling in me grew. Something was wrong, it should've been swarmed with guards or soldiers even just a little more resistance would've quelled the bad feeling.

Cever had an expression that mirrored my feeling as he looked around in confusion, Lilly didn't seem to notice as she was focusing on her magic and leading us.

"We are getting close," Lilly looked over her shoulder while walking in front of us, the rest of us nodded and I could faintly hear two pairs of footsteps shuffling from foot to foot as if they were waiting for something to happen. I had gotten in front of Lilly as we came to a corner, I could hear the shuffling footsteps clearer now.

"There are two of them and we have to get to both of them before they can send any type of signal to alert everyone we're here," all three nodded. Lilly smirked and after chanting a few words and she was invisible.

"Lilly, Elodie where have you gone?" Cever said in clear confusion. So, I was also invisible that's awesome.

"Don't worry Cever we will be right back," He nodded, and I moved around the corner and walked up towards one of the guards with my sword drawn. A pained grunt sounded off to my left as the first guard went down by Lilly's dagger, I smiled and plunged my sword into the second guard's chest and he slumped down to the ground, dead seconds later.

Lilly had become visible again with a smile and I figured so was I, I motioned for Cever and his knight to come out as I turned towards a large metal door. I touched it and banged it trying to see how thick it was, planning to take it down in my wolf form.

It opened a moment later and I stepped back in surprise as my head swiveled over towards Lilly, she made things easier not going to lie. I walked in and saw the girl, Kumi, strapped to a table she seemed to be unconscious.

I unstrapped her and picked her up and as gently as I could put her in a fireman's carry as she didn't seem physically injured.

"Nica, we have Kumi, have you got the other one?"

"Yeah, we got her she was awake and didn't trust us right away, so it's taken a bit to calm her down,"

"Ok see you in a bit,"

"Yeah,"

I walked out of the cell where they kept Kumi and started silently running towards the doors we entered from, the others followed close behind. Some minutes later before reaching the doors I could faintly hear a sound that sounded like beeping, a constant beeping like... a timer!

"Nica, can you hear beeping?"

"Yes, it sounds like a timer for something,"

"Just to be safe get out of there,"

I picked up my pace and I could see the doors only three meters away when Kumi woke up and freaked out, she thrashed in my grip which I had to tighten and she screamed out questions and profanities, no one acknowledged them, we couldn't stop now. What if the beeping was a bomb? It could blow any minute and we are still inside the base so we would go with it.

She eventually stopped as we got through the doors and out of the base, I could hear the beeping speed up. I paused looking back at the base wondering if Nica and the others were out and safe.

"Nica you, ok?"

"Yeah, we are..."

BOOM!!
