D.O.G.S.

The hologram repeatedly welcomes candidates as one enters the glass doors of the academy. It is a human dog on RoboSkims suit flexing its muscle and winking at every person, android, candidate old and new, it's kind of annoying when you hear it again and again. But that's how we promote the school and what commercials or ads did to recruit new soldiers and flighters for the program. It is a hard task since there are hundreds of enlisters but a few always end up becoming a flighter and that is a let-down. We have been searching for flighters that are fearless and talented but only a few would be able to pass tests and physical strength. Most of the candidates pass the intellectual and emotional exams but when it comes to testing their physical and mental strengths, a lot fail due to some are afraid of deep diving and enclosed spaces or fear of heights or ugly, blood sucking monsters played using the power of illusions orchestrated by our holoteam at the DOGS Sci-Tech program students.

Hey, Ren! you're early?, Ericka said.

What does that mean, Oh yeah I'm never early for anything unless it's a beauty treatment hihi!. Yeah, dad kept on bugging me when I told him that I needed to wake up early to be here for the eliminations!, Ren said giggling then turned crappy when she spoke of her dad who have been annoyingly sweet after her birthday party. I guess he is making up for the lost times all right!

Haha, good for you! I'm glad he is being the good father that he truly is for you!, Ericka said and both along with ten other candidates stopped whatever they're doing when Jax and Eco stood in front of them. The candidates were all advised to stand in line in front of the school parking area to introduce themselves to the Captain of the team and Director of DOGS Academy. All candidates were pre-classified and checked for this type of mission. Not all who applied or enlist were accepted but only those who are qualified and are highly-equip to learn and be able to adapt with the DOGS culture and willfully follow the rules and status quo of the academy and of being one of the best flighters in the century. All newbies will stay in the academy with the program for two years and this will test their abilities and enhance their potentials as soldiers to fight the bacteriums in the Wet and Dry lands.

Good morning! I am Jax and I'd like you to meet our head and director Eco Amber of Digi-One Gamma Slashers or what you call DOGS, Academy. 

Thank you Captain Jax for the introduction. As you all know DOGS is not just some program or school that would teach you how to fly or fight monsters or bacteriums but we are here to educate and involve you to know more about who and what we are fighting against. Bacteriums are not just slizzy and bood sucking creatures but they are bacterias that have lost their homes due to global warming and deforestations across the earth. Since the universe has ways in reversing the effects of climate change, these bacterias grew angry of not being able to find food and lodgings in the wilds but found that they can eat humans instead why we need to restore the forests and make them their new home here on earth or outside of our galaxies.

This day and age we already have founded hundreds of ways to build a home not only for bacterias but also animals and plants in Saturn, Jupiter, moons and exo-planets. However we still need to protect our one true home, Earth from this monsters to be able to survive natural catastrophes we have been battling ever since this world has been created millions and millions of years ago.

Your mission, if you qualify the program is to not just eliminate the overgrown bacterias but restore the lands by planting or making plants, trees or flowers bloom or better yet produce vegetations in the Wet and Dry Lands for future generations survival. According to statistics we have lost hundreds of soldiers already ever since this program started decades ago. We never had issues on bacterias before but only when they have reached cities and destroyed or ate every person they see that alerted all leaders of the world. Why we launched this program and hopefully be a success. Now …who among you are willing to risk their life and every day muscle their way to destroy bacterias and build a better world for our future generations?

All candidates raised their hands as Miles entered the parking area. Miles automatically saw Ericka who have been happily talking with another girl who isn't Sarah but seemed a close friend the way his best friend cling to her made him jealous. Ahhh…Miles, stop this! 

Ah! Hello Miles, I'd like you to meet one of our successful candidates, Miles. Say hello to our new recruits, boy!, Jax said and Miles said hello to the new batch of flighters. Ericka saw him and waved at him. He smiled at Ericka and at long last he is not angry with her anymore but instead misses her why he tried his best to talk to the girl after the introductions for the newbies.

Hi, Ericka!, Miles said shyly but Ericka hugged him instead. I missed you, why haven't you answered my calls or texts?

Ah I was…., Miles was about to answer Ericka's question when another girl pulled Ericka away from him. His happy face turned into a smirk, What the….

Hi, I'm Rene or just call me Ren, Ericka's new friend, Miles, nice to meet you, hihi!, Ren added and both of the girls looked at each other and smiled together.

Ah hi, Ren!, Miles replied and now wanted to pull Ericka towards him yet this annoying Ren wanted my friend for her only.

So, we will be going now, we need to check our quarters, see you around!, Ren said and pushed Ericka away from the now frowning Miles on the other side of the academy to the girls quarters.
