Adonis remained cool, calm. "Take that bitch back to her fucking psychiatric hospital, Neil. You’d be happier."
Neil moved a step forward in rage and I shot up to my feet, holding his hand and trying to hold him down as if I could actually do anything to stop him.
"Neil, stop!" I gasped, eyes wide. "What are you doing?"
"Knocking that bastard's fucking teeth out, that’s what!" Neil growled, and I felt a cold shiver pass down my spine. I have never seen Neil like this too.
Just a few minutes with this woman in the house and everyone is already at each other’s throats.
"What did you just call me?" Adonis asked, voice low, controlled and deadly.
My wide eyes snapped to look at him. My heart was pounding. I had no idea how, but his face was perfectly impassive, but I could feel the dark anger emanating from him. Shadows bathed his handsome face, and his stance was more intimidating, massive, and honed like a deadly weapon.
