Chapter -9

Mitsuri and Shinobu were discussing about the warning from the system.

"Shinobu chan, the way you were looking at kenji and telling him to call you by your first name without any honorifics. It is pretty obvious that you like him." Mitsuri said

Shinobu still had that ever present smile on her face. She didn't reply and kept looking at Mitsuri.

"So I was correct !" Mitsuri said showing her abilities about lovey dovey stuff. She isn't a love hashira for nothing.

Shinobu thought for a while and asked "Why were you blushing and looking wide eyed at kenji, Mitsuri san?" Even though she had a hint of what the answer would be but she needed to confirm it.

Mitsuri got flustered when she was asked that question. "Uhh...um..you see he is just so handsome and his eyes are so beautiful. I was just...uhmm.. admiring his eyes. Yes admiring his eyes."

Mitsuri sounded like she herself didn't believe what she was saying and Shinobu knew it.

Shinobu was still smiling. "You like him, Mitsuri san?" Something about her tone changed.

Mitsuri looked even more flustered at that and she didn't notice the change in tone. "Yes...i do but-"

She was cut off by Shinobu. "Let's ask this so called 'system' for solution as we can't keep each other away from him intentionally." She was annoyed that she couldn't even do anything about it.

Mitsuri looked a little surprised but still nodded.

[What does the host want to know?]

Shinobu thought for a moment and said. "What should we do about this situation? If i or her can't do anything to keep the other one away from him. Then what?"

[The most logical answer it to share him between you two.]

Silence. System statement caused the whole room to be silent. But then Shinobu asked with an possessive tone "You mean share him? Like we both date him at the same time?"

[Yes, that is the only option without facing any consequences.]

Mitsuri was also speechless.

(After 10 minutes)

They both discussed everything and decided to share him in the end.

As it was night already and there wasn't any mission for Mitsuri. Though Shinobu has a mission so she had gone to her mission.

Mitsuri decided to stay at night at the butterfly estate. She was trying to find kenji and she saw him in dining area. There were sumi, naho, kiyo cheering for kanao.

She got close and asked Sumi. "What is going on here?"

Sumi who was cheering stopped cheering and looked at Mitsuri. Both Naho and kiyo did the same.

"Kenji san is having an staring contest with kanao." All three of them said in unison.

"Ohh then who is winning?" Mitsuri asked in her cheerful tone. She was staring at kenji while blushing.

"It has been 15 minutes and kanao is winning." Sumi said.

Kenji finally blinked and rubbed his eyes. "I lose." He accepted his defeat.

Kanao was still staring at him without blinking. Her face had an smile too like Shinobu.

"The challenge is over you can blink kanao."

Kenji said while waving his hand infront of kanao's face.

She didn't blink and kept staring at him. He just sighed in defeat and looked at Mitsuri who was in daze while drooling. She was staring at him.

Kenji had an chill in his spine when he saw her staring at him. Kiyo,nahu,Sumi started to shake mitsuri to bring her out of the daze.

"Huh? Yes !" Mitsuri said while raising her voice slightly.

"You were dazing and drooling while staring, Mitsuri san." Kenji said.

Mitsuri blushed furiously at that statement. Seems like she was caught. She stared at ground.

'Ohhh, is that what I think is?' Kenji thought. But then he shuddered when he remembered face of Shinobu's smile dropping and eyes darkening. 'Yep, there is something going on here.'

Fortunately Aoi came to the rescue. "Dinner is ready."

They were on the dining table. Kenji and kanao were eating their food quietly while Mitsuri was basically inhaling the food. She had already ate 16 bowls of rice.

"Eat slowly Mitsuri Sama, no one is taking your food away." Aoi reprimanded Mitsuri.

Mitsuri got flushed in embarrassment when she realised what she was doing.

There was an awkward silence which Kenji couldn't bear and asked a question. "Why did you join the corps Mitsuri san?" Even though he knew the reason but he Still asked to not be suspicious.

Mitsuri who was slowly eating her food now as before she was reprimanded. "Eh.. it's pretty embarrassing but i joined the corps..to find a HUSBAND !"

She said while her whole face was red. Everyone stared at her dotted eyes.

She got more flushed at their stare. "You joined the corps to find a husband? But you are so pretty couldn't you find a husband without joining the corpse." Kenji asked.

Mitsuri was surprised when he called her pretty even though she is pretty but she doesn't think that way of herself.

"You think I'm pretty?" Mitsuri asked while trying to confirm she didn't heard wrong.

Kenji nodded. When he nodded Mitsuri just gave them the brightest smile that even kanao had to blink to adjust to the brightness.

"Mitsuri san reduce the brightness reduce it." Kenji said while covering his eyes with his hand. After few seconds the brightness reduced.

Aoi looked confused as to why she was so happy when she was called pretty. Mitsuri is probably the prettiest and most beautiful women in corps so she didn't understood how she got happy from a single compliment where she might get dozens of it everyday.

"Why are you so happy by just a single compliment, mitsuri sama?" Aoi asked.

Even though kanao didn't say anything, she was curious about it. Mitsuri looked down and explained her story. How she got rejected many times because of her unusual hair and big appetite. How she was told that only cow,cattle or another animals would marry her.
