Uncertain, yet showing boldness, Aaron walked in the path of his ancestors, pushing through the human boundaries not knowing what lies beyond its realms. One day, he met a supernatural who is about to face death. Now, the question is... What will he do after he learned the reality beyond the supernatural realm? Prophecy

Jennifer of the 1940's Entry #1

It was the first day of class when I saw her. Who would have thought that one of my classmates is an Elexian. I know it. I can sense it. I know that she knows who I am but she still pretended that she didn't know me and acted like a normal human being. I am absolutely enraged by this. How can she act like this after all of the deaths that their tribe has caused? But for now, I will set everything aside. I need to know her motive. I need to know what clan she is in. I need to know if she knows the prophecy. But... I need to be careful... my speculations should not cause misunderstanding or something...

She didn't seem to have any negative intentions towards our classmates. It's actually the opposite of what I presume. Is too early to make conclusions though, it might be just an act to gain everyone's trust...

It is confirmed that she is an Elexian, former humanity's helpers. Since she can keep her human form for a long period of time, I believe that she is indeed an Elexian. Though, I'm still not sure what her clan is... she better not be a Tavora... or else I wouldn't have any other choice but to eliminate her...

Putting the notebook aside, I leaned on my chair and stretched my arms upwards.

I sighed and once again looked at my desk. Now... I remember that I have other things to do... Home works...

With a loud groan, I picked up my notebook and quickly looked for today's homework.

I just wish that there is a supernatural that can make home works disappear. Can Jennifer do that? I don't know. I didn't even know what supernatural she is. Guess I'll just have to ask tomorrow.

Since she's now under my supervision, she is my responsibility and I will be accountable for all of the wrong decisions that I might make. It is also my duty to acquire more information about her and her tribe. Sounds easy, right? Hopefully Jennifer won't be a pain in the ass...

I frowned at the thought of having a supernatural under my care. I just want to live like a normal human. Not knowing the realm that is beyond humanity's perception.

My eyes drifted on the photo of my me and father. Then I remembered his teachings and the perfection he's aiming for. He will surely be disappointed once I fail this task. After all, he surely do have a high expectation and he didn't miss a single day in reminding me of that.

I lazily shot up from my chair and looked for something. I went back to my chair as soon as I found what I was looking for. I think I should also record my experiences about supernaturals... Jennifer's a good start, I guess.

Jennifer of the 1940s (2020 edition#1)

Today is the first time I met Jennifer. She is the supernatural that was assigned to me. I didn't have any idea about her aside from the fact that she is from the Elexa tribe and... she's going to die soon. Before I entered the barrier, I pictured her as a child. Maybe its just an illusion that she made? I think so? Maybe it's connected with my personal feelings? I hope not. When I entered the barrier, I won't lie. I was captivated by her beauty. Is it her true form? Or is it another illusion? Though I was drowned with her beauty for a while, there is something unusual that I sensed in her eyes. Gloominess... As if demons, as what my father called her, have feelings...

I tightly gripped my pen , hoping that those thoughts will vanish. I shouldn't think like that. Supernaturals, Elexians to be specific, are demons that do not have emotions. All they do is to slaughter innocent human beings, as what was taught to us. Maybe she's just tricking me or something...

Somehow my eyes wandered off once again and my eyes became fixated at Maximus' notebook. I quickly grabbed my phone and typed "Maximus Baris" I'm pretty sure that somehow, I'll find something in the internet since our family's name is quite popular.

After minutes of scrolling and clicking various articles that looks connected to Maximus Baris, I found something peculiar and different from the previous ones that I saw.

"Alleged supernatural from the 'Tavora prophecy' caught and confined by the Barises." an article that included a newspaper report from the 1940's.

The article, though contains short information, didn't fail me unlike the others that just contained Maximus' biography.

"Maximus Baris, the eldest son of Mario Baris, was reported as the captor of the alleged supernatural from the 'Tavora prophecy.' It is reported that the supernatural is confined at the Baris' headquartes."

Bunch of pictures are included in the article. I focused on the pictures as I'm trying to look for a photograph of Jennifer...

As I was looking at the pictures, I noticed something...

"Oh boy..." I whispered and scratched the back of my head "... now I know the reason..."

As I continue browsing the internet, I was disturbed by a knock on my door. Who could it me in this hour of the night?

"Aaron?" mom asked as she entered my room with a tray of snacks on her hand, "are you busy?"

"Uhm... not really... is something wrong?"

"No... no... Mom's just worried..." she replied and sat in my bed.

"You don't have to worry about anything, mom. I'll be fine."

"You know your father... he can be pushy at times... too bossy and strict... I just hope that you won't

be too stressed and pressured because of him..." Oh, mom... If you only knew...

"If it's not a family thing, I wouldn't want to be associated with this, mom. I don't want to give you stress..." then I chuckles, "... don't worry about it, mom. I'll be fine. We'll be fine."

"I know that your father already gave you a gift, but knowing me, I also have one for you..." she replied and gave me a small box.

"Thanks, mom." I said and smiled as she gave me a peck on my cheek before leaving my room. Typical mom.

I gently shook the box before opening it. My eyes widened as I saw what's in it...

"Woah..." I whispered and held it in my hand... Why would she give me something like this...

Hi! Starting this chapter, I'm going to include what was written in Maximus' notes about Jennifer. Just clearning things up to avoid confusion.
