Tenebrix Race

Two days had passed and the weather was chilly Birds and the other creatures that roamed the sky, stopped their movements, hiding away in trees for warmth. Few birds moved about, probably in search for food or shelter.

Slaine was in bed, as he had been for the past two days, tucked in like a child, his hair was messy, probably oily and dirty since no one could move his body to the bathroom. Arya took it upon herself to clean him up, Ravena fixed his meals after a long argument, between her and Arya, that she eventually won, despite being around for barely a week, she had already began gaining Xanax's affection.

He now treated her like his child, well for his benefit. She was talented in preparing pastries, especially Dango and Cookies. His only regret was that he never had good milk to go with it, he then decided to make the present day a shopping day with a list of everything for who ever was going.

Slaine's eyes parted slowly, woken by the sound of water running and a vacuum around the bed. He stared at the ceiling, adjusting to light he hadn't seen for a long time–Two days. He turned his head towards the direction of the sound and frowned, his brows curving as he did so.

He pushed himself off the bed, brought his legs down and shivered at the sudden cold he felt from the tiles.

"Why Is it so cold?" He asked no one in particular, raising his leg back on the bed. His head ached, he was hungry and furious. He wanted answers, he wanted to grab Xanax's collar and throw him into a wall without thinking twice, but since Xanax was now his teacher, he had no choice but remain calm.

He looked over to the new desk beside the bed and saw a plate of food already set, clothes he wouldn't normally wear indoors at the foot of the bed. He glanced at Arya who might not have noticed he was awake and sighed.

"What is this?" He asked pointing at the Clothes as he lowered his head and shut his eyes.

She turned off the vacuum, "We are going shopping, " she briefly replied and moved close to him, she raised her hands to touch his forehead, waiting for a second to see his reaction then she finally felt his forehead, already on guard for anything he would do. Surprisingly he did nothing, she slowly moved her hands down his forehead and to his neck, checking his temperature properly. "You finally stopped burning." She uttered, with a smile on her face, him well-being seemed to ease her.

"How long was I out?" Slaine asked rising to his feets, he stretched out like a Butterfly coming out of it's cocoon, letting out a groan as well.

Arya placed a comb in his hands and turned around to leave, dragging the vacuum cleaner with her towards the door, "Please hurry up, Father would not be happy if he doesn't eat dinner early" she added and vanished through the door, her footsteps fading away as she walked farther off.

Slaine stared at the pink comb in disgust, the glitters mixed with the resin or plastic they used to mould to the comb. He glanced at the plate on the table and subconsciously swept his tongue along his lips, salivating for what was inside.

He impatiently removed the land was met with a beautiful setting, A thigh of chicken, perfectly fried brown with a red sauce on top, beside it was slices of boiled Irish potatoes and a sauce beside them if he wanted to use it. He smiled genuinely for the first time and put the lid back on, picked up the clothes Arya set out, grabbed his towel and walked into the bathroom.

Slaine strolled casually into the kitchen with his plates, he put them in the sink, washed and dried them. He then made his way to the sitting room where Xanax and the girls where.

He walked over and sat across Xanax, he had no expression on his face, but he was happy that he had a good meal but was still upset with Xanax for making him drink blood.

"Morning Slaine, You look good" Xanax quipped with a smile turning to face Arya to hand over a piece of paper.

"Why exactly did you make me drink it?" Slaine grew the question directly, caring less about what Xanax was doing.

"To complete your reincarnation, I had already told you this" Xanax replied closing the books before him, he handed them over to Ravena who bowed and walked off. He handed a card to Slaine, who reluctantly took it and raised his head still frowning.

"What else do you want?" He asked, tired of Slaine's constant questioning, when Slaine gave no reply he sighed and leaned into the couch.

"You live on blood, also without that your soul and that of the shadow lord would not be united, Haven't you wondered why you can't hear his voice anymore," Xanax explained briefly, he made gestures at Slaine's neck, the tattoo that was barely noticeable was twice it's size, now almost covering the spotless skin on his neck completely.

Slaine was not against having tattoos, he just wasn't happy that Xanax–In his eyes, Poisoned him. He felt he could trust him but was occasionally made wrong. "Arya where did you say we were going to?" He asked, his eyes sleepy with a calm voice.

"Shopping," she answered and threw a full face mask at him, "We'll buy more later" she added and bowed slightly before walking off. It then dawned on him that everyone seemed to bow before Xanax, although he was told he is a shadow demon lord, people seemed to fear him, while those who had the courage to come close to him were Xanax and Ravena.

"Hey Xanax," He called as he rose to his feets, wearing the mask he continued, "You never told me what you are"

"I am part hybrid race, like you, but different" He answered briefly and smiled. "I expect alot of milk," after which he vanished leaving Slaine to his thoughts again.

"Fuck him" he cussed and threw on his hood, picked up the card and matched out of the living room.

After spending the whole day, buying food, clothing for both Ravena and Slaine, trying to catch up with Slaine since he kept walking off without them and persuading him to keep moving each time he gave up and sat at the waiting area for them.

The trio arrived before a store named Keingets, the combination of Kein and Gadget, hoping it would excite him and luckily it did. He was glad he could spend on what he wanted since the money was technically his but transfered to Xanax's account to avoid it expiring.

He hurried into the store, walked past the cashier and into the Smart Phone isle. Arya sighed and dropped what she was carrying by the door, Ravena did the same and walked up to the cashier.

She narrowed her gaze on him and smirked deviously her fangs peeking out of her mouth. "You're a human" She stated gaining his attention, he glanced at her and tilted his head, his eyes gleaming with amusement.

"And you're a Succubus, I'm guessing you haven't found a suitable mate," He whispered the last part, her eyes darkened and he could see literal fire burning in them. "Relax, I mean no harm," He glanced at Arya whose eyes were fixed on Slaine as he browsed through the store looking for what could pique his interest. "You have a fae with you and a shadow...."

He trailed off, eyes widening as he kept staring at Slaine, he stopped what he was doing and wore a pair of glasses, he tapped on the sides and gasped afterwards.

"No way" he muttered, he left where he was, grabbed Ravena's hands and walked over to Arya. He bent to her level and whispered, "What are you doing with him?" Ravena frowned at his question, slightly offended on Slaine's behalf.

"There is nothing wrong with him" Arya defended, shoving him back gently to stand up, she crossed her arms under her breasts demanding an answer.

"No offense ladies, I am just concerned about why you're with him, He's the Shadow Lord, Tenebrix Race, rings a bell?" He whispered, not wanting Slaine to hear what they were saying but unfortunately.....

"What's a Tenebrix Race?" He asked, looking over Ravena's shoulder, his head titled to the right to get a better view of the guy, his eyes with a silvery soft glow since where he stood had little light, thus letting the glow stand out in the dark.
