Offer

He saw her a few days ago, heading towards the bar in much speed. The moment he saw her face from the corner of the hood cap, he was left stunned at her beauty. The girl did not make much efforts to look beautiful, but she indeed looked splendid. Adam had followed her carefully, as he noticed that she worked in the bar. He kept standing behind a tree for several hours, looking at the girl from glass window. As soon as the girl finished her shift, he had followed her back to her institute, to know more about her.

Soon he got to know from the guards that she wanted money for her education that is why the hostel had granted her to go out late. Then, from a girl he had to befriend, he got to know how the girl was left alone as she was a poor orphan and often cleaned utensil and clothes to earn extra money...

For several more days he kept following her, be it in a market where she used to buy books from a thrift store or in a candy shop, where she bought her favourite candy if she had some money to spare.

Amanda was now looking at him carefully, not able to understand a thing. "And how is that? How can I pay loans? Do you even know how much they are? A whooping amount of....."

"I am sure it is not even half of the salary you can get with the job." Adam did not let the girl speak. He was now extremely desperate for the girl to agree.

"Huh?" Amanda raised her eyebrows looking at the man in much shock.

"So, my parents have passed away and I am new in this town, and have shifted back to my mansion. But, unfortunately the old caretaker of the property has passed away and I need to find a person suitable enough for the job. I need somebody who can live there in that mansion and is also educated enough to assist me in my meetings. At the sane time, the person should be good at fixing my meals and looking after the house." The man tried his best to sound genuine, not wanting his offer to be rejected at any cost.

"Oh! I see." Amanda looked in the boy's eyes with much apprehension. "But living there all alone is not something I am up for." She nodded her head in disapproval.

"Well, you will not be alone  I shall be there with you." The man shrugged his shoulders.

"Errr... exactly my point." Amanda looked at the boy as if he was some kind of a maniac. "I.. I mean, why would I suddenly shift to a stranger's house and start living with him?"

Adam looked at the girl, completely determined to make her say 'yes.'

"Oh, it is not like you will be in my house  I have a different staff house in the same premises. So it will be like living in same premises but different houses." He spoke up instantly, hoping that the girl agrees this time.
