The Start To My Journey

Raya and Nyx were sitting at home one night when her phone went off. she saw it was a text.

Shield: Hey we got daemons in the shopping center again.

Raya: you alone?

Shield: No I have Noctis and Luna.

Raya: I'm omw keep them safe

Shield: Duh

Raya rolled her eyes and stood up. "Daemons in the shopping area. Wanna come you can help Gladio keep the king and queen safe." When he nods they both get dressed and head out. "Raya be careful." she nods to Nyx as he runs to help the king.

Raya runs to the group of daemons. As if they sense her they stop trying to attack Gladio and come at her. There were imps and reapers. Raya warps around shooting fire at them then moves away just to see 2 red giants appear. "How is this fair?" she says as she dogged an attack.

Raya looks over to see a Ronin show up behind the queen. "Behind you," she yells and warps over tackling the queen. The ronins blade went through Raya's shoulder. Once it was pulled from her shoulder the look on Raya's face stopped them all in there tracks.

Nyx saw the color in Raya's hair changed and when she looked up her eye color was different. This was the true Goddess of Chaos

She stood up and flicked her hand sending the Ronin flying. Raya calmly walked past the group and towards the daemons. Her sword had turned black with some kind of smoke around it.

Nyx keeps his eyes on her. Like lighting, she moved fast quickly taking out the daemons. The fog building around them. Once the last daemon fell he saw Gladio start to move but Nyx saw his wife there was still something here. "Gladio wait." Nyx stops him as Raya warps in front of them with her sword raised.

Raya was standing in front of them. "Enough of these games Ardyn." The fog starts to clear as she raises her weapon and blocks the warp strike from the very man in question. "What's the matter my pet don't you miss me?"

Raya''s face held no emotion in it. "I tire of your childish games shadow." The man smiled as he touched the side of her face. Raya didn't even flinch she was perfectly still.

"My poor goddess. You don't even know who you truly do you?" Raya pushed him away. "I know enough to know you need to be stopped." Ardyn chuckled at her. "Oh but did you ever ask yourself were this lovely disease came from?" she watched him. "does it matter?" she asked calmly. "Oh yes it does my pet. For the truth is you created it. So all of this is your doing my dear." Raya just looked at him. "Then I guess it falls to me to end it," she said flatly. "We shall see my pet. We will see if you doom the world or save it in time." Ardyn bowed to her then left.

Raya turned to the others her body changing back to normal once more

Raya felt her shoulder and pulled away her hand to see blood. "Damn it that hurts." she turns to them all. "You guys okay?" They nod not sure what to say about what just happened.

Raya looked at them all. "Look I don't know if what he says is true I don't remember my past lives. But if it is true I promise you I will put an end to this. To all of this." Nyx pulled her into a hug. "I trust in you Starlight."

Luna walked over to Raya and took her hand. "We are all behind you Raya never forget that." Raya looked at everyone and smiled. "Thanks that means a lot. Noctis I know we talked about me leaving in a few weeks but I think I should leave sooner as in tomorrow." Noctis nods. "I understand Raya. I ask that you take Crowe and Libertus as well. When I left having my friends standing beside me meant the world. Let them be your strength when you feel your is fading. They are your family as are we. So I will tell you what my father told me the day I left."

Raya stood there not sure what to say when Noctis placed his hand on her shoulder. "Walk Tall, my friend." Raya felt her tears fall. She bowed to him. "For Hearth and Home my king." she felt Nyx pull her against his chest. "Raya use the kings of old to aid you when you need them." She nods.

Gladio walks over and ruffles her hair making her glare at him. "You live up to your name that's for sure. So I can say the glaives stand behind you should you ever need us. We will come to your aid." She nods and bows in a sign of respect. "We most leave so we can get ready. We will be leaving early." Noctis stops her. "Take this trust me. It will get you where ever you need to go." She looks at the key in her hands. "Noctis this is the key to the." He nods. "The key to the Regalia. My father would be happy if you took it on your journey as I did."

Raya and Nyx had called Libertus and Crowe that they were now coming and to be ready at dawn. "Starlight we will defeat Ardyn. Trust in us to be at your side." she smiles and kisses him.

Raya woke up and got ready to head out. She was nervous about what was to come as she went to the bathroom and decided no contacts today. Raya had her head down and eyes closed when she felt Nyx put his hands around her waist. "All will be okay babe. Don't worry we are all gonna be with you."

Raya watched him get dressed and head to the kitchen. The others were meeting them at her place in an hour. She decided on just a nice pair of jeans and a tank top. Her hair was left down as she grabbed her glasses. She laughed to herself not many people knew she had glasses.

Walking into the kitchen she grabbed her phone and mp3 player off the charger. "Starlight you even look hot as hell in glasses." She giggled as she put the stuff in her bag. She sat down to look over some paperwork that permits them to go near titan and many other places they will be heading.

Nyx head the knock on their door and saw she was in full warrior mode. Smiling he went to get the door. "Hey, guys. Come on in I got coffee made." They all walked into the kitchen to see Raya was now looking at a map with a pen in her mouth. "Babe, can you try not to entice me with everything you do?" She looked up and chuckled. "Hey guys we will be leaving in about an hour. I just gotta get a few things ready."

Raya took a drink of her coffee as she put her papers up and in a small bag. "Raya I never knew you ware glasses." she smiled at Libertus. "Not many people do but my eyes are dry today so glasses it is." Nyx came in handing her the kukri he had given her. "Thanks, babe. Okay, guys so while we are out we will be hunting as well to earn Gil when we need it. Noctis also asked if we could check on the plant in Lestallum. So we will be doing some fun stuff."

They were talking about where to head first when there was a knock on the door. Raya looked up and went to get the door. "Oh Noctis your up early." she moved and let the king inside. He was followed by his four friends. Once they were all in the kitchen Noctis looked at them all. "Look I know you all have a mission to do but I want you to go out and explore as well. Go have fun as well. Because I can tell you this from experience when the bad times fall you will look back on those moments. They will give you the courage and strength to keep going. Call if you need us. Raya. Go with the grace of the Gods."

Raya was taken back when the king bowed to her. "We will save this world Noctis. After all, you had lost. After everything everyone lost. We will make sure those still here have a future." she said her goodbyes. Then she and her friends set out.

Raya got in the driver's seat and Nyx was next to her. The other two got in back. "I can't believe we get to use this car." Crowe smiled. "Yeah, we gotta stop at Hammerhead and get it tuned up before we head out," Raya informs them all as she plugs her mp3 player in. "Hell yeah girl." Crowe and Raya started singing the song that came on as she pulled out

Raya stopped at the gate to hand a paper to the gate guard then waited for him to open the gates. When he did they were off. "It will take us about an hour to get to hammerhead. We are gonna help them out with some hunts before we leave. Noct said they been having some problems." Everyone nodded as she drove.

Once they pulled into the garage in Hammerhead a blonde-haired girl came out covered in grease. "Hey, you must be Prompto's wife Cindy." Raya shake the girl's hand. "That's right sugar. Let me look at the old girl while you do your hunts. I will be done when you return." The four nod as they head into the diner.

They pick up a few hunts from Takka who shows them where to go on her map. "Well let's take out these duel horns first. Then we can take out the sabertusks on the way to the haven here. We can stay there for the night before returning here for the car."

Raya and Nyx are leading the way when they finally come across the duel horns. "This should be fun," Crowe said as she summons her magic. Nyx and Raya warp in and start attacking as Crowe shoots magic from afar Libertus attacking when he can. "Crowe watch the magic. That was my arm you almost bbq." Raya laughed out as she kept up the attack.

Once they were defeated they harvested the meat and horns. They headed to the next task. Everything went smoothly. Leaving them to head to the haven as night started to fall.

Nyx and Libertus were cooking. Crowe was reading a book. Raya had her mp3 player and headphone in as she was just under the haven so as not to hit anyone as she let her magic flow from her.

Nyx noticed her walk away with headphones in and looked at Libertus who nodded."Go I got this brother." Nyx followed after her and stopped at what he saw. Her magic flowed around her changing her hair and clothes. She stood there for a few moments then took a step forward as smoke came from the shadows.

The two walked a bit then stopped. Nyx watched a true Goddess as she danced her magic flowing around in streams of colors around her. What really caught his eyes though was the tears falling from her eyes. Nyx walked towards his goddess of night.

Raya turned when she saw Nyx coming towards her. "Nyx what are you doing out here?" When he reached up and wiped away her tears she let out a gasp. "Why are you crying Starlight?" She looked up at him. "I don't really know." he kissed her. "Babe as much as I love what you're wearing right now and I really do love it. Please don't wear this in front of anyone but me." Raya let out a giggle. "I don't even know how this happened." Just as she said the magic that was still flowing around the two changed her back to her normal self.

Nyx smiled down at her."You're my Starlight Goddess." he leaned down and placed a gentle kiss to her lips as his one hand holding the back of her head the other around her waist. When he pulled away still holding her. Nyx saw the love in her eyes. She was his and only his. He rested his forehead on hers as they stood there holding each other.

Smoke watched them and for once in her many lives had hope for the future. "They will do well this time my friend." Smoke looked over to the speaker and bowed. "I pray you are right. She deserves this life." Smoke responded in the speakers head. The two watched as Nyx and Raya headed back to the haven. "Please Goddess hold onto your love. You will need it. Your trails have just started." Smoke thought as she disappeared back into the night.
