The Goddess Remembers

Raya pulls into Lestallum and finds a parking spot. "Damn it's hot here." She says tossing her leather coat into the car. "We stay here for the night or a haven?" Crowe asks as they start walking up some stairs. "Well since our family is here." Nyx stops her. "We are camping my mom and sister both love to camp. Citys make them uncomfortable." Raya smiles. "Camping it is then. Oh hold on I need to buy something to mail to Shield." They watch her run over to a cup noodle merchant and buy 1 of each kind.

As they walk Raya finds a place where she can mail off the package for Gladio. "Okay time to find the family." They head to the hotel and find Nyx's mom and sister standing there. "Raya."

Nyx watches his sister fly past him to hug Raya and smiles. "I think she forgot she has a brother," Crowe says laughing. "Mom, how are you doing?" His mom hugged him. "we can talk once we are out of the city. Tell me there's a haven nearby" Raya nods. "Yeah, you all an ride with us. It may be a tight fit but the haven's not too far away."

They were all packed into the car Nyx's sister was in her brother's lap in the front and his mom was in the middle of Crowe and Libertus. Thankfully it was only a short ride and soon they were parking in front of a haven. Night was starting to fall when they finished setting everything up. "Nyx I need a few minutes real fast." He looked at his wife and nods.

Raya feels a pull as she walks into the darkness. "Young Goddess you must beware. There are people after your family. Keep them safe. Ardyn is trying to pull them away from you. He fears your strength when you have them with you. Now go they are close. I pray you to return to us My friend how I miss you." Raya couldn't see who was talking to her but ran back to the camp.

As she got closer her power shifted and she changed without trying too.

She saw the people holding her family and friends hostage. "Where is the other one that was with you?" Raya walked into the light. "Release them or suffer the chaos and darkness." The man lifts his gun and shots it.

Nyx's heart stops as he hears the gun go off. "Your weapons can't hurt a Goddess." The men look at her. "Who are you" Nyx sees his wife smile. "I'm the Goddess Nyx and you are in my realm this night. Release them and your death will be fast."

Raya sees the two trying to come from behind when a black and blue smoke appears and Smoke stands behind her. "I guess the hard way it is." Raya cast her magic as shadows dance around everyone only touch and hurting the people that have weapons on her family. When they were gone Raya turns to Smoke and once more kisses the tigers head. "My thanks smoke." The tiger bows then turns once more to smoke and is gone.

Nyx watches as Raya turns back and looks at everyone. "You all okay?" They all nod. "Starlight they shot at you." she walked over to him and let him check for himself. "I'm fine hero."

Nyx's mom came over to them. "You the forgotten Goddess? How?"

Raya smiled at her. "I didn't know I was in till Titan attacked me. Then it was like something broke and I remembered who I was. I was cursed for making the use that Ardyn has. Titan didn't tell me why I made it. All he said was I did because I was betrayed by someone. I have to look for the answers myself." His mom hugged her. "It was fate that brought you and my son together."

Raya smiled. "He told me he was named after the Goddess. But please all of you know. I may be the Goddess reborn in a mortal body. I'm still Raya and always will be." Nyx knew what she was trying to say and hugged her. "Don't worry Starlight you get dish duty tonight." Everyone started to laugh.

They sat under the stars talking about whatever came to mind. When it was time to get some sleep Raya pulled Nyx away for a minute. "Nyx someone told me you were in danger. I never saw who it was but they said they were the Goddess's friend. They warned me that Ardyn was trying to pull everyone away from me. He fears the power I have with you all on my side." she laid her head against his chest. "Nyx I'm scared he will try to hurt someone I care for."

Nyx held her in his arms. "Starlight I will do everything in my power to protect you and our family and friends. You just worry about what you need to do. Let us worry about all the other stuff. You can't take everything on yourself." She kissed him. "What would I do without you Nyx?" he lifted her chin to look at him. "You will never again have to figure that out Starlight is forever at your side. That I can promise. If you're the Goddess of night. Then I will be there to light your way now and forever."

The two stared at each other and both knew they would do anything to protect the love they had even if it meant their death. "I will always love you Starlight." She smiled " And I will always love you, Hero." They both vowed in there hearts that the other would walk away from this alive.

"Please young Goddess hold on to that love. You will need it. Come back to us. What was done to you was unnecessary." Smoke walks over and bows. "She will succeed this time my friend." The tiger says in the speakers head. "I pray you are right."

Raya got up and started cleaning there camp station up. "So what's the plan for today?" she looked up to see Libertus waking up. "Well while you guys take Nyx's mom and sister to the trains I'm gonna patrol the power plant till you get back." Nyx sat up and looked at her. "You're not gonna be reckless are you?" Raya laughed. "Nope that's your thing hero." Once everyone was up Raya drove them to Lestallum once more.

Raya said goodbye to her family and headed to the power plant. She watched from the shadows when she saw him. Tapping her com.

Raya: Nyx how far away are you?

Nyx: About 30 mins why

Raya: Ardyn's in the plant I can't wait. Speed up

Nyx: Starlight be careful

Raya: I will. Just get here fast

Raya heard screaming and warped down. "Quickly get out I will take care of this." Raya walked forward to see Ardyn standing there with a smile. "Oh, your all alone dear." She watched him closely. "Leave here shadow your not welcome here," she said her voice calm.

Nyx ran into the power plant to see Raya and Ardyn fighting. As he ran forward to help her she was thrown down at his feet. "Starlight" she slowly stood up looking at Ardyn. Nyx saw the blood on her arm and side. "I won't give in to the darkness Ardyn. I have too much worth fighting for."

Raya saw Nyx stand next to her and smiled at him. "Then I will take them from you." before she could even move Ardyn had grabbed Nyx and vanished. "NO" she yelled out. Raya ran out of the power plant to see Crowe and Libertus standing there. "Raya where's Nyx?" she looks at them and makes the hardest decision in her life. "Ardyn has him I will be going after him alone. I need you to protect our family in case Ardyn tries to come after them."

They look at there friend. "How will you do this alone?" They took a step back when darkness surrounds her. "I will become the darkness once more."

She walked away as her hair became pure black as did her outfit. Only her eyes held color. They were blood red. Raya called forth the dark realm as she stepped into it. She looked at her friends one last time. "Walk in the grace of the Gods my friends." then she was gone.

Nyx looked around the room he was chained too. "Nice to see you awake." He saw Ardyn walk into the room. "What do you want with me?" Nyx yelled just to have pain shoot down his body. He looked to see a dagger in his leg, side and arm. "You nothing. I knew your wife will come for you." As if on cue she walked out of the realm of darkness. Nyx's heart broke to know he was the reason for this side of her once more. "Oh now this is the Goddess I remember," Ardyn said with a smile.

Raya looked at Nyx and waved her hand. The chains holding him were gone. "This chaos is of your doing Ardyn."

He sent a daemon at Nyx but she put her hand out and stopped it. "You can't beat me Ardyn. I'm taking him and leaving." Raya walked over and helped Nyx stand. "By all means go. Oh yeah Raya can you leave the chaos behind this time?" She flung him back and opened a path to the Galahad.

Raya and Nyx came out on the other side. She let him go as his mother ran out to them. "Take him inside. He will heal by tomorrow." Raya turned to leave when his mother touched her arm. "Child you can't stay in the chaos. It will corrupt you." Raya looked at the woman as a tear fell. "I will not in danger my family anymore." Raya walked back into the darkness.

Nyx woke up in his room and sat up. "Hey, buddy slow down." Nyx saw Libertus. "Where is she?" He looked up to see his mom walk in. "Nyx I'm sorry son. She has returned to the chaos once more." Nyx pulled his phone out and saw a message from her.

Nyx I knew coming for you would be a risk but I wouldn't let you suffer in his hands like I did. Please keep our family safe. I love you my hero and always will never forget that. Don't come looking for me it's not safe. Goodbye, my love.

Nyx ran outside and screamed out. When he came back in he had made up his mind he would not let her face this alone again this time he would be at her side. "We're leaving I have a promise to keep. Smoke if you can hear me come please."

What came he was not anticipating. There in front of him was Gentiana. "She has gotten Ramuh blessing. You will find her at Cape Caem. Go now before it's too late to save her. Nyx only you can reach her heart now." He nods. "I will save her I promise." Gentiana waved her hand and a portal appeared. "This will get you there faster. Our future now goes with you, Nyx Ulric." He walks through to save his wife.

Nyx walked up to the lighthouse to see Raya she looked tired. "Starlight stop." she turned to look at him. She had so much sadness in her. "Why did you come here Nyx?" He took her hand in his. "Because I promised to always be at your side and I meant it. Come back to me. Leave the darkness and chaos behind. Your life is here in the light with me." Nyx pulled her to him and kissed her.

Raya let go and let his love fill her. When they pulled apart she saw him smile. "There's my Starlight. Welcome back." Just then Leviathan showed up. Raya looked up at the Goddess and stood her ground. "What fool mortal dares to call me forth?"

"It is I Nyx Goddess of the night. I demand your aid." Raya was in front of Nyx when the tide mother unleashed an attack. Raya never moved even when it hit her in the leg and arm. "You will give your aid or you will lose your life here." Raya had the trident that Luna once used.

Nyx stood behind her watching. When she slammed the weapon down he felt her power come over him. "You dare demand me. This is all your fault. Tell me why I should help you clean it?" Raya took a step forward. "Because these people did nothing to deserve this. Don't do it for me. Do it for them and their future." He watched at Raya bowed.

Raya waited. "So be it, young Goddess. You should go to the temple built in your honor. An old friend awaits you." Raya stood up "I will thank you."

She turned and took Nyx's hand in hers as the two left for Galahad once more.

Raya never realized how scared she was until she stepped off that boat in Galahd. Raya looked up at the sky. Raya saw they were at Nyx's place and stood there as her magic started to dance around her. She didn't notice Nyx's pulling everyone away. Raya followed her heart.

Raya let her tears fall as her memory's unlocked and she saw the truth all of this started because of her. Her friends and family had suffered because of her. When her song ends she drops to her knees as her tears take over. Smoke walks over to her and Raya looks at the tiger. "I'm so sorry. It's my fault all of this is because of me." Raya hugs the tiger.

Raya wiped her tears and looked at the stunned people behind her. She saw the blame in there eyes and turned to walk to the temple alone. She couldn't be mad at them. She had ruined there lives. once she gets there Raya goes to place her hand on the door but stops. When a hand takes hers and puts it on the door. "Remember I'm always going to be at your side Starlight." She smiles as the door opens. "No matter what Nyx I love you always." Raya and Nyx walk into the temple hand and hand. They would fight for there future together.

As they near the Goddess's room they are shocked to see Gentiana standing there. "Young Goddess I have missed you over the last few years." Just then a light went around her as she changed into none other than Shiva. Raya looked at her and smiled. "I'm sorry it took me so long to remember an old friend. You have always tried to help me. I would never listen, but this time I have something worth protecting."
