A Clean and Fast End

March 13, 2038. I've been traveling exploring the world for years, yet I've not seen any humans at all. Lowering Temperatures resulting from all that nuclear weapons, my body also have mutated because of too much radiation exposure. Monsters filled the streets, creatures that I've not ever seen. My family my friends, they all have ceased to exist. Stupid soldiers killed my fam. The date October ██,2020, the date Where all hell broke loose. A war sparked from nothing, nuclear war heads launched like there's no tomorrow, falling satellites from the skies. They even used interstellar objects. But the one that have been bothering me is this monsters, like they've scaped from sort of container. Well enough of the past. I pulled a map from my ragged leather jacket, a map with many blue dots with its corresponding numbers. All of them is Cross out and there's only one remaining, the dot with the number 15. I just called this dots as Site 15,16,17 and so on, they're bunkers and containment facilities. I've searched them all for the hope of finding one human being. Site 15 is my last hope for ever finding one human. And so, I've arrived at the front door of site 15, surprisingly it's opened. This one thing made me lose a bit of hope in my heart. As I entered I ready my handgun just to be safe, I got them from the soldiers that killed my family. I only Survived because if an orange blob blocking all the bullets that hurdles into me, its name is ████. I entered the bunker; I've searched every room but there's no sign of life. It's getting dark inside because there's no electricity in this part of the bunker, I pulled my flashlight from my pocket. In my shock I almost passed out, there's blood everywhere even a severed head. I saw light from not far, a room with light and it's opened. This again gave me hope. I entered the room and all I saw is a humanoid creature, long limbs an average sized head and a malnourished body. I saw dried blood in it's almost non-existent right arm since it's only a blade.

"W-who are you? Where is the remaining humans here?" , I asked seriously.

"I'm ████, and the humans you're hoping to see have been all gone. 3,650 days 15 hours 45 minutes and 39 seconds ago since they died", it answered thoroughly.

It seemed to talk through Telepathy since I didn't see his expressionless mouth move.

"You're the first human that's been so calmed when meeting me" he muttered.

"Well anyway you're ████ right? Aren't you supposed to be secured and contained?" I asked

"A man in black opened my cage, leading to my containment breach. And because of my anger for being contained for 63 years, I've killed them all with my blade in an extreme speed 5 times faster than the speed of light." It answered.

He is surprisingly fun to talk with despite of killing 137 people living in site 15.

"So, what really happened? Almost 20 years ago?" I again asked

It moved behind me grabbing my head and showing me how the humanity end. Rotting bodies, severed limbs, heads, bodies that became so unrecognizable if it's still a human's body, a war that no one would win, ruins and monsters that broke loose. It's like hell but on land. Strangely enough while I'm seeing humanity's end I've laughed out loud , like there's a feeling of relief yet a feeling of sadness in my heart.

"Human you've done well on surviving but there's no hope anymore, you're the last human alive. There's no way you can save the human race anymore, even ████ is destroyed there really is no hope." He said.

"Yeah you're right there's no way of reviving the human race anymore, just kill me with that blade if yours." I answered with a sad tone.

"I'm sorry human I've lost the courage to kill anyone, if I kill you I'll achieve nothing. Atleast let me guide to your Clean and Fast Death." He said.

"What do you mean?" I asked

"Storage B just in your right side, inside there in the third shelf. In the right corner of that shelf is a pill that would kill anyone who takes it." He said.

I've lost all hope so I've accept its offer; nuclear winter would be coming soon and my ammunition is not enough to fend off the monsters trying to kill me. I've got a handful of it even I know a bit of it would surely kill me. I swallowed it, as my surroundings dimmer I finally see it's smile

"Human you've done well enough, I'm proud of you young man. I hope we meet each other again on the other side." He said with a grin at its face.

Even Human Race ended, I'm still happy that I met someone who is sole purpose is to kill but tried to help me to have a happy death. The last words I heard made me smile right before I tumbled to the ground. I'm ████ and I died with a smile in my face, a Clean and Fast End.
