38: The mystery man

"I am in Liradia. Did he just try to kill me?! " Ywain exclaimed in shock. 

"What are you talking about? " Prince Zephirin asked the question playing in my mind. 

"This is a death spell for Liradia. He tried to bury Liradia with us in it, " Ywain explained the rune on the ground. My mind darted to the memory of my encounter with the mysterious man. 

I was right to think that he was the greatest evil I ever met. The man was casting a spell to destroy my home and everyone in it including me. The dark energy in my veins led me to him and accidentally paused his intentions of destroying Liradia. 

Without intending to, I saved Liradia from destruction. My heart bloomed happily knowing this actuality. The people were safe but the mystery man was in the wind. 

He was capable of starting the spell again somewhere else and causing unfathomable damage to Liradia. As the guardian of Liradia, I couldn't let him do that.
