STILL FRIENDS?

The next day while I was eating with Lea, there were a bunch of girls shouting that I keep stealing Earl from them and they were saying so many other bad stuff about me. Until Earl came to our table and said " Who said that you could bully my girl? Whoever I hear or see anyone bullying Everly will be dead to me." Then the girls went away. I told Earl " Thanks for helping me." He just smiled then went to the basketball court. After he went away, Lea asked me if I did have at least a little feelings for him. I told her I don't know but I also told her that I didn't like Alex anymore because of what the teacher told me.

1 week later...

Today is the last day of our bet and one week left till we graduate senior high. As a last outing for the bet, I went to Earls's house. When I got in, I asked him "Where's your family?" He replied " They are at the other house. I just live alone here and they just give some money to me for the food that I eat. Have a seat in the sofa."

Then I said " So what do you wanna do in the last day of our bet?" He replied "I want you to be mine." I responded " What do you mean?" He answered " I will be honest now Everly. I like you. I really really like you ever since we've met. I just didn't know how to express it since your so in love with Alex and I didn't know what type of boy you like. So I'm sorry if i have hurt you or done anything to make you feel miserable." I told him "Earl, I really appreciate your love but your just really not my type." Then I went home crying. When I arrived my house, my parents asked me, " Why are you crying?" Then I told them everything. They told me that I should follow my heart not my mind. They also told me that I should give him a chance. So I texted Earl to give me a week to think about it.

1 week later...

It's our graduation! All of us are already gonna graduate and become college already! We all prepared and dressed our selves nicely for the ceremony. After the ceremony, Lea told me to go to the basketball court because she wanted to watch the game.

When I arrived at the basketball court, I saw Earl standing in the middle of the court. He asked me " Have you decided?" I said " I don't know if I like you or not." He said never mind you don't have to force your self to like me. Let's just stay as friends. Then he walked away. But there was this feeling in my heart that ached so much. So before he was able to leave, I hugged him from the back and said " I like you too.." Then he said " Really?  I thought you didn't like me?" I answered "Well I realized that I can't lose the person that has made an big impact in my life. I will say it one last time. I like you. Let's date."

After I said that, Earl hugged me and kissed me. He told me that he wouldn't let me down and that he'd try his best to be a great man...
