Nothing Is Certain

“OK to start, you like the house, correct?” Leo asked. “I love it.” I replied as I looked in his eyes. “You love surfing right?” he asked. “Yes.” I replied. “Well you already seen the private beach. So you can go surfing there anytime you wish.” he replied to that. “Did you accept the job offer last night?” “Yes I did.” I replied as I heard my mother cheering that I got a job with Leo to William. “Well I work at home a lot and since you will be working under me, what is better than staying here with me. I’ll count all the hours you spend in my office as your surprivised hours along with the ones you spend at the office building.” Leo said which made me smile at the idea of getting my hours done faster. “That sounds really good.” I replied. “Last but not least,” he said with a giant smile on his face as he looked at my outfit then back at my eyes, “Do you know that you are wearing a pair of my sweats?”

Only recently I was able to get a hold of my sister to do some digging for me. I paid her to do these things since our family has shunned her for being a partier and a drug addict. But I got her into rehab and that's where they have been told she has been for the past three years. Only if they knew that I was paying her to be my P.I. and that she has been clean for it the whole time.

I finally snapped out of my thoughts as I continued to read her file. Apparently Kaiden's ex-wife is married to William Lenox. But whenever I was around her, she only mentioned a girl named Hannah and nothing about Tae. I guess tonight I will have to ask her since Tae holds the golden card for getting rid of Kadien Park as CEO of T.A. Shipping.

I had my father hounding me to take his shares of the company since he just wants to retire in peace and not have to deal with all the annoying shareholder meetings. The even more annoying part was the fact that he wanted to get rid of Kaiden Park even more.

Snapping out of my soon-to-be pity party, I pick up my phone and wire over ten million dollars to my sister. I gave her double this time since I know it is not easy to get access to FBI files. As I was putting my phone away, Ashton Lenox sent me a message letting me know that William was bring Anna home from the airport and someone else that he wouldn't tell me who. He said that my father has requested my appearance at the welcoming party. After that, I received a message from William letting me know that the person they were bringing back was going to be giving her opinion of the house and that he would like for me to attend. He also informed me that there might be some criticism to my work.

Hearing that, I quickly hopped out of my seat and out of my office. The Lenox's house was perfect. Anyone with half a brain could clearly see that. Criticism my ass. The only person who, in my mind, has the right to criticize my work is my father and Tae.

A short while later, I was playing my frustration out in the Lenox's game room, when I heard cars pull up. Ashton and his brothers ran to the windows and cracked them open to get a look at who the mystery guest was. I heard the boys whisper at how hot she was. It was at that moment when I heard the one voice that ignited a fire in me. The one voice that I have been longing to hear for. Tae Park was here. Then the moment she stepped inside and her words came crashing into my brain, I shouted a quick thank you when I heard her somewhat compliment my work. I stood rooted to my spot, the blood rushing through my veins at blinding speed making me extremely hot. At that moment in time, I heard my mother call Tae, Hannah. My blood froze as I realized the big glaring sign that I didn't see before. She didn't vanish off the face of the earth, she changed her name. That's why Anna always spoke about Hannah as if she was Tae. But why did she change her name?

I couldn't finish that thought as I heard her ask about me. I was finally able to move as I stepped out of the game room and come face-to-face with Tae Park. Well Hannah Marie now. But her next words hit my ego with a major gut punch and my, glaringly bad, temper bared it's head. So I did the petty and logical thing. I acted like I didn't know who she was.
