Chapter 29

****The Next Day**

"Mommy I don't feel so good," Ian whines, rubbing his stomach as he walks into my room while I was getting ready for school.

I smiled down at him, picking him up I placed him on my hip. Then pressed the back of my hand to his forehead, I frowned.

My lord his head is warm. He coughs into his arm and lays the side of his head against the top of my breast.

"Ok honey, I'm going to put you back in bed and then get you some medicine. Ok?" I tell him gently.

"Mommy there's a voice in my head," he says softly when I laid him down in the bed and covered him up.

My eyebrows creased together, "What do you mean sweetie?"

He points to his head, "Someone's talking. He says he's my wolf."

Freezing at his words, and my heart dropped to my stomach.

Tilting my head to the side, "What do you mean your wolf honey?"

Is he a wolf to? Is EVERYONE fucking wolf's!?

He shrugs his small shoulders, and without another word, rolls over to face the wall and falls fast asleep.

Mmm, sometimes I worry about this little guy. Now he's talking about hearing voices in his head. Is that part of being a wolf?

No I don't think he's crazy, Ian isn't known to lie like some of the other children that live here.

I sighed and shook my head, getting up and getting him some medicine. It's going to be a long ass day.

**Few Hour's Later**

"Mommy it hurts! It hurts!" Ian yells in pain, thrashing around in my arms.

"I know baby, just tell me where it hurts so I can fix it," I tell him calmly, brushing back the blonde hairs from his face.

     (Knock! Knock!)

I internally groan. Now is not the time for people to have at the house.

"I can't, I can't! It hurts too much! Make it stop!" He whimpers desperately, burying his small face into my neck and wrapping his arms around the other side.

     (Knock! Knock!)

     Ugh!

I go to lift up, only for Ian to grip tighter around my neck. Afraid I was leaving him I suppose. I wince in slight pain.

Fuck this little guy is strong!

     (Knock! Knock!)

This person is starting to get on my last nerves.

Fuck it, Ian's coming with me. I get up with him clinging to my neck tightly, and go to answer the door.

     (Knock! Kn-

"What!" I yell harshly as I swing the door open aggressively.

"Woah there mamma bear," Christian says defensively, taken aback at my harsh tone.

Ian whimpers softly and tightens his hold on me, almost crushing my airway.

I sighed, "What do you want Chris?"

I swear I wasn't trying to sound rude, it just came out that way. Dealing with Ian's sickness has got me in a bitter mood and I don't know why. But even then, Christian didn't seem to mind my rotten manner towards him.

He grins at me and helped himself by walking straight passed me and into the house! UNINVITED may I add!!

"Sure come on in, thanks for asking," I sarcastically say while shutting the door behind him.

"Why aren't you at school?" he asked, turning to face me.

     Is he serious?

"Why aren't you?" I snapped back.

Jesus Christ Amy, can you be anymore of an asshole?

     The answer is yes...

He chuckles and takes a step closer to me, eyeing me like I was a steak for dinner.

"I just came to see if you were alright. Is that so bad?" he says simply, smiling down at me.

"I mean... I guess not?" I say, with it coming out more like a question.

"Mommy it hurts," Ian softly whispers against my neck.

Christians eyes looked down to Ian, who was playing with a piece of my hair between his fingers.

"I know baby," I say rubbing his back, then turned my attention back to Christian, "now is not a very good time."

"What's wrong with you little guy?" Christian asked him, smoothly pulling him out of my arms and rested Ian on his chest.

It was actually a sight to see. Christian was so tall, so broad and buff; then you had a very small toddler, one bicep was the size of the kids head.

"Alpha, I hurt," Ian cries and wraps his arms around Christians neck.

     Alpha... He's an Alpha?

My eyebrow raised as I pressed my lips together. Then crossed my arms while giving Christian a stern look.

He froze at Ian's choice of words, only for a split second though. Raising his dark eyes to meet mine, he chuckles nervously.

"Uh kid's nowadays, they say the darnest thing's," he said, bitting his bottom lip and turning his focus back to Ian.

Damn, well if that wasn't sexy.

"You say you're hurting everywhere?" Christian says softly, walking over to the grey couch and taking a seat.

Ian nods and starts to move around in his arms, trying to find a comfortable spot.

Christian pulls out a phone and dialed a number.

"Hey, I need you to come check someone out for me," he tells the person on the other end, "I'll send you the address now."

He hangs up and puts his phone back in his pocket.

     Uhm...ok?

"So, you're just gonna invite a complete stranger to my house?" I asked going to take a seat in front of them on the sturdy wooden coffee table.

"He's my pack doctor Amy, he will be able to help with Ian," he tells me, rubbing Ians back.

"I swear to god if you bring a psychopath into this house," I start.

He chuckles, "Just trust me Princess."

I smirked and went to go grab something from the kitchen.

**30 Minutes Later**

"He seems to have swallowed some wolfsbane," the doctor said, pressing Ians tounge down with a flat wooden stick as he shinned a light down his throat.

"Wait what's that?" I asked, rocking back and forth between each of my heels.

The doctor glances at Chris before speaking, "It's a potent herb that is a werewolf's most well-known weakness. If a werewolf makes physical contact with wolfsbane in any form, it will burn and weaken them."

My eyes widened and I could feel my mouth drop slightly. I stopped rocking on my heels, "Burn!? Is he going to be alright!"

The doctor nods before standing up, "Yes ma'am, I gave him some medicine to help with the swelling. Alot of rest and plenty of fluids for the next week and he should be fine. But he needs to be accepted into a pack soon, or his body and wolf will start to weaken," he says to Chris this time.

"What!? What happens if he doesn't get accepted into a pack soon?" I asked him, complete panic was clear in my voice.

The doctor glances once more at Chris, as if to ask permission to speak. I didn't miss the curt nod Chris gave him before the doctor spoke again.

"As a werewolf, our wolf is important to us, we cannot live without it. It's important for the younge pups in the pack to be around others of our kind. Especially the adults. It helps the younge wolf become adjusted to their bodies and not feel lonely.

When a little wolf gets lonely it goes into depression, and when our wolf gets depressed, they die. When our wolves die, our human mortality goes into desspression as well and it will eventually kill us."

My mouth was dry, I couldn't speak. If Ian wasn't accept into a pack soon he...he could die?
