Chapter 63- Next Step
I drank my juice as I sat in the corner listening to the gossip that was being spread around the cafeteria. The more I listened the more self-conscious I got. I had expected this to happen, but I didn’t know how much it would affect me.
“Did you see what happened yesterday?”
“Yeah, this weird storm that shot lightning near the Archery field.”
“I’m glad no one was hurt.”
“Could this be another work of the witches?”
“I’m so scared!”
I let out a groan as I stuffed my mouth with my salad. “This isn’t going away…”
"Tell me about it. I didn’t think the punishment for breaking a pledge was that severe! I knew there was a punishment, but wow! Getting struck by lightning like that is no joke! I would definitely die."
