Promise? The promise must be Winter's return to the world. He pulled us apart as his gaze stayed on me. The corners of his lips rose to force a smile on his face. I touched Gin's silver hair and compared it to mine. It's the same shade.
"Why do you look dissatisfied?" Gin asked me. I raised my eyebrow and shook my head.
"You're overthinking," I answered and released his hair. "I was recalling the time when our hands connected. There was a sudden bright light."
"Because of that, I regained at least three halves of my original strength," Gin placed his hand on my shoulder and pushed me down to sit.
"What happened to the other guardian?" Our eyes met looking at the mirror. He stood silent as if he didn't want to talk about it. "You don't have to talk about it if you don't want to. I shouldn't have asked."
