Chapter 1
Mariam couldn't believe that she has already married Amaru, she met him during their university days .
Her parents stopped getting in touch with her all because she went forward with what her heart want .
Mariam freshened up and now she's presently standing in-front of her small room's mirror .
She has lost a lot of weigh after marrying Amar , her brown eyes that always look so bright are now looking dull and lifeless , her face has some tiny wrinkles on it but all these didn't spoil her undenying beauty .
She got deceived by her own husband , she didn't know that Amar already has a wife called Basira ,because of this she refused to communicate with him at all , even though they are all in the same house , she still keep her distance from him .
Mariam went out of her small room to the kitchen in search of something to eat as breakfast .
On normal days , by this time she's suppose to go to Star Multinedia company where she work as a receptionist, Star Multimedia company is owned by Bukar Ayo but now his son .
Ahmad is the CEO of the company . She walked to the kitchen and as expected Basira is already there cooking food for her and Amar.
Waleeda felt the intense stare that Basira is giving her but she just ignored it and opened the fridge which has nothing except for water so she carried it and went to the parkour , Basira came out too and dropped a food flask on the table .
Mariam has already started sipping the water as breakfast and that's when she smelt a familiar smell of alcohol that Amar always return home with .
He was taking slow steps and was about to fall . Mariam quickly went forward to support him but Basira has already done that .
Mariam watch as basira disappeared into a corner while supporting Amar.
She went to her room and got a room freshener to spray in the parkour that's now reeking of alcohol .
She sat down on a couch and on the only television in the house , Mariam was busy watching when she heard a knocking sound from the door , she opened the door and as expected saw Bashir , Amar'a brother .
Mariam knows what he wanted was food , she came back and sat down on her former seat .
They exchanged pleasantries and Bashir sat down on the next couch , he asked Mariam for food as expected . She pointed at the covered food on the table as she predict that Basira and Amar probably won't eat it again .
