The now familiar panic rising in his throat, Adam crumpled the note and looked around. No one was watching. Had anyone else seen the note before him? What the fuck was that asshole thinking, leaving a revealing message like that out in the open?Adam closed his eyes and tried to think.
“Everything okay?” came a voice behind him.
Adam was startled and turned around. It was Dean, naked with a towel over his shoulder.
“Uh…yeah…just lettin’ the dust settle…you know lettin’ the win sink in. You played great today, by the way. I really felt I could count on you.”
All the while they talked, Adam tried to keep his eyes from straying down to Dean’s crotch.
“Thanks, man,” Dean said and walked toward the shower room.
