Arrival of Calamity

The crackling of a fire resounded throughout the otherwise silent room.

-Woosh!- the glittering iridescent flames billowed 50 meters high before reaching the ceiling and expanding in all directions after an elderly women, still brimming with vitality, threw a glowing powder into the flame.

"Gods are said to be born of the energy of life, left behind through the cycle of death." As the flames danced, and images of a child from birth to old age and eventually death formed, she began narrating to the eagerly attentive middle aged man sitting on his heels in front of her.

"When this energy reaches saturation on a star it will choose a vessel, granting a small part of the energy to the unborn life granting them smashing talent and monstrous potential. The rest of the energy remains to be gotten through the chosens' own efforts."

The flames played along, giving the visualization of energy from the surroundings entering the belly of a pregnant young woman.

"Not all planets will live long enough to give birth to them, and not all born with the fate of the exalted will live to ascend."

The erosion of all life on a star was followed quickly by the scene of a young son slain at the hand of his own father. The mans eyes never left the flaming images, while his attention never left the respected elder.

"Few actually survive the rise to the heavens."

"Some do only to abandon their world in search of stronger life energies."

"Dispicable! How dare they!?" The man cut in before quickly lowering his head with a guilty expression.

"Sozan, you are my grandchild and the supreme ruler of this massive galaxy. Do not be so formal and submissive to me child." She said with a gentle and loving expression, patting him softly on the head before continuing to narrate.

"Some who ascend are benevolent, while others are malevolent."

"But beware my child. For some gods, are pure... Evil!"

The Valbaara Supergalaxy, a massive system of 5 abnormally large neighboring galaxies, was ruled by the Pangaea alliance, a governing force made of members of each start and lead by the ruling families of each individual galaxy. Thanks to this force Valbaara was an almost unmatched force in this universe.

Year 9081, Planet Mezir - A small and somewhat primitive star on the outer edge of the Valbaara supergalaxy.

Zelju, a warrior of the Mesairi ogre tribe who rule over planet Mezir, stood on his tribe's lookout post observing the sky. A worried look covered his usually valiant face.

"Zaljah, can you see that?" Zulju asked his brother who was on night watch duty with him tonight.

"What am I to be looking for?"

"There is a hole in the sky. There. I have a bad feeling, elder brother."

"Hahaha! The entire sky is a hole filled with specks of light, brother." Zeljah said patting this worrisome brother of his roughly on the back.

"It directly covers my guiding star and the ones next to it. That is why I am able to see it although it appears so small."

Zeljah took another look after hearing what his brother said and his seriously worried tone of voice. Upon realizing his brothers sky light was truly missing and there appeared to be a hardly noticible black line in the place where it and a few stars next to it used to be, Zeljah was surprised, but being a warrior who thought with his fists rather than his head he dismissed it as nothing to fret over.

"Little brother perhaps your star has abandoned you for another! Hahaha!" he said loudly, once more giving his younger brother a slap on the back.

"Zeljah this is not the time for jokes! I plan to speak to Lord elder. I believe we should evacuate this star, for one further away from the anomoly. It has been 2 weeks since it appeared and every night since I, who is no coward, have grown more fearful that something devistating is on the horizon."

Zeljah was taken aback, "Little brother, you know that such a thing is impossible. Only the strongest of this star can survive the journey to the next closest star, let alone attempting to take all our kin to an even further star."

Zelju was a man with strong intuition and he truly feared the worst of this darkness suddenly appearing in the night sky over his guiding star. Staring at the sky in deep thought, Zelju tightened his fists until blood dripped from his palms. 'Is there truly nothing? I pray I merely over think.'

Heavenly star Ur: Capital of the Valbaara super galaxy; the eldest and centermost body of the entire system. Birthplace of the strongest warriors and home of the wisest elders, it is no wonder that Ur would be the primary rulers of the federation.

In a sealed hall within the royal palace, a meeting of the highest-ranking officials and elders was taking place.

"The birth of the pricess and the two young masters gave rise to an indescribable sense of pressure. There's no doubt it's just as the our grand mistress profisied! This is outstanding. It will no doubt make our standing at the top even more unshakable!" King Sozan shouted with extreme vigor, delighted at the heavenly display of power given off by the birth of his daughter and nephews.

"Indeed sire, the young mistress and young masters are no doubt destined to be fiercly powerful! Although if I may, it is quite worrying that we have yet to understand the great sorrow mentioned by the Grand mistress. Perhaps one of the princes..." an advisor began to voice before tapering off after feeling an immense pressure from his side.

Two years ago the Grand mistress of the Ur royal family made a prediction that the coming of the gods for the heavenly star, was soon to be. Alas, she also stated that with their birth, would possibly be the arrival of a time of great darkness and sorrow.

"Are you trying to say my son will be a traitor!?" The second prince and younger brother of the king flared up upon hearing this even without the whole thing being spoken.

"No, your highness, I wouldnt dare!" The advisor quickly shouted immediately regretting voicing his worries.

"Ohh? So you're saying MY son will be the traitor then?..." calmy asked the first princess, a seductive smile playing on her lips.

The advisor gulped, cold sweat drenching his back as he knew that smile was one usually seen before someone departed the realm.

"Tha- that wa- wasnt my intention at all your highness. This servant was merely saying we should begin looking into and preparing for whatever trouble is to come?"

"What could we possibly have to fear? I am the most powerful in this entire star field and these chldren will be and even more powerul force when they reach adulthood! Nothing can shake us, but i trust your intuition so nonetheless I'll allow you to investigate whatever darkness approaches."

"Thank you sire!"

"If theres nothing else all are dismissed! I wish to get back to my princess."

Year 9086, Ur- Emperor Sozan's quarters

"Your majesty I bring news of the black anomaly surrounding valbarra." A small youth dressed in all black from head to toe said, kneeling before the emperor.

"Let's hear it."

"Sire, the second prince has fallen, along with all planets in the immediate perimeter of the Valbaara Galaxy in a mere instant. All forces attacking one spot together along with the second prince's stardust scattering blast were unable to cause the anomaly to even tremble for an instant."

"What!? My brother is second in strength and speed only to myself and even had strict orders to flee if he couldn't defeat this thing! Yet you're saying he was unable to even run away?"

"The moment the second prince finished his attack the dark cloud that was closing in at a creeping pace sped up to a monstrous rate and instantly captured the prince and all planets in that area in its grasp. All life in the cloud was exstinguished immediately and effortlessly."

Shock was written all over the lords face. He absolutely couldn't believe what he had just heard, and he knew that although he could do the same damage to the outer planets he couldn't do so in an instant with his brother helping them defend themselves. This anomaly was truly a threat to be taken extremely seriously.

"Summon all planetary leaders here, at once!"
