Chapter 77: Awfully Greedy

Rishott lunged with a piercing thrust, but I easily sidestepped it and used Bone Shredder to strike her side.
Since Latent Power was activated, I pressed the offensive, striking two more times before Rishott yelled, "Counter!"
Her blade glowed blue just as I went in for my third attack. Once my saw made contact with Rishott's sword, she instantly stepped back and performed a spinning slash that knocked my HP down to nine percent.
The Counter skill was just like a perfect dodge, in that the user could create a bubble of slowed time for themselves, but it initiated whenever the opponent landed an attack.
Although it was much easier to activate Counter than a perfect dodge, Counter left you vulnerable for two seconds while waiting for the opponent, who could simply predict the option and punish afterward.
"Extension!" Rishott said.
