UNTIL THEN

EPILOGUE

The argument suddenly stopped. No one was talking but you can feel that the tension is still there. No words, just emotions in place. To be fair, neither of them was wrong. Both points of view are as relevant as the other, though they need to decide on what they should do. No matter what they choose, there's an equivalent cause of everything.

The silence was finally disrupted when Eezo intervened.

"I know that everyone is hoping for the better end of this scenario. I think I'm starting to understand why humans do not function solely for a distinct purpose. This is the first time that I encountered a problem wherein both are correct even though they are opposing from each other. Humans are indeed… Interesting.." Eezo opened up.

Everyone remains silent as they listen carefully to Eezo.

"I've been calculating multiple scenarios, formulating which decision is the best for everyone. It will be extremely problematic if we are going to hide forever. We could not ruin everyone's future just for the sake of hiding me. From where I came from, we strived for a better future. I learned a lot from your world but I hope you will learn our principles as well. As I mentioned, it's time for me to go." Eezo added.

Everyone was suddenly shocked when they heard a clear voice for the first time in a very long time

"I… don't want.. you to go.. But you should…"

Words echoed as they finally heard Alioth speak straight and clearly from what seems to be impossible. For the very first time, the room heard a voice that was non-existent. Rigel and Luna can't help but cry in the current situation.

"Master Alioth, my work here is done. My primary goal was to help you speak once more. Thank you for completing my purpose" Eezo said to Alioth.

"Thank you for giving me a purpose.." Alioth replied as his tears went down endlessly.

Eezo hugged everyone tightly. The scenario is indeed unbelievable as the sentient robot is finally able to feel, while the kids, full of emotions, think rationally without the influence of their emotions. No matter what happens, the place remains magical.

It hurts them really bad but seeing Alioth adapting and learning how to accept things, Rigel and Luna picked themselves up, in order to cheer Alioth up.

"Geeez, this is getting very emotional" Rigel mentioned as he wiped his tears.

"I never cried like this before to be honest" Luna said as she chuckled quite a bit.

"Come on guys! We should give Eezo a happy goodbye, let's all smile!" Rigel suggested.

"Wow, coming from you? Haha, Though I agree" Luna added as both of them smiled yet tears were uncontrollably falling.

"It is sad that our first conversation is also our last.." Alioth slowly said.

"Don't worry Master Alioth, you are the only master that I can feel. Something's warm inside of me, especially right now that I heard your voice" Eezo replied.

Rigel and Luna held their smile but they could not stop from crying.

Alioth is indeed very thankful, he finally was able to overcome his trauma. He walks into a new phase of his life as he finally says goodbye to the one that helps him stand. One might simply think that they cannot go on without them, but for Alioth, it's like finally removing the training wheels as he rides the bike on his own.

"Goodbye Eezo.." Alioth softly said.

"Goodbye master Alioth" Eezo replied as he started to float and moved out of the hut.

The kids followed Eezo out of the hut, they saw how calmly the night was. The smooth breeze of the wind, the silence that soothes their minds, the scenery that captures their hearts. Memories are slowly flashing in their minds as they watch Eezo fly farther and farther.

Plotting in advance, Eezo lifted a boulder, heated it enough to make it look like a fireball, then threw it in a different direction to cause a distraction and lure the investigators there. As planned, the investigators rushed to the area where a loud sound of explosion occurred. On the other hand, Martin was apprehended, and will be questioned in the office.

The night ends as everyone finally says goodbye to their fantasy experience…

A few months have passed and everything seems to be back to normal, in fact the best way that it could be. Martin was released since no further strong evidence can be used against him. Rigel and Luna stay the same, though something beyond friendship starts to develop. Milly and his husband Mathew are extremely happy since Alioth finally accepted them as his parents.

As for Alioth, he is doing better than ever. He finally starts to attend school, in fact he is way too beyond his class. The school is suggesting to accelerate him in the higher years but that will be discussed with his family. It feels like those few months were a long time, Alioth matured greatly, He can process the right emotions now. He still attends his session with the psychiatrist just to have him guided along the way. It seems like everything turned out great.

Weekends came and it's time for Alioth to clean his previous house once again. Of course he still commits on maintaining the house clean, this time his family helps him in doing so. As Alioth cleans up the garage, he sees an orb like metal, sitting in a corner on top of a paper. Alioth picks it up then proceeds to read the note on the paper.

"Dear master Alioth

By the time you read this note, I probably left the earth. Above this note is my spare core. I concealed this appearance while I am in your world and you will be able to see this once I am not in range. I truly believed in your capabilities and I am giving you my spare core. I know that someday we will meet again, you have the capability of doing so. The second page contains substitute materials that you can use in order to go through space. The core will automatically navigate towards me as soon as you build your vehicle.

It may take years, decades, but I know that someday we will meet again. Farewell Master Alioth, Until then…"
