CHAPTER 7

Tate eyes quickly scan through the whole interface.

BASIC MOVEMENT SKILL (1)

ELITE MOVEMENT SKILL (1)

NORMAL SKILL (1)

MEGA SKILL (1)

Tate clicked the basic movement skill.

[Basic movement skill: Sprint!

Adds +10 points to agility when triggered.

Host would automatically lose one orenda energy by the minute once skill is triggered.

1 orenda energy/ every minute.

Basic skills can be improved through continuous usage! And skill leveling up points, can only be gotten through daily logins and system cards]

Tate lips formed a half smile seeing the +10 points that would be added to his agility once he activated sprint. To him, it was worth it, and to think he could also improve the skill made Tate happy, however, he was starting to get curious about the system card.

Everything seemed to be under the system card.

He wondered if the card would have separate names for the different items or it was only a single card that randomly contained everything.

Tate hoped it wasn't a single card, because he would waste a lot of his artist's coins getting the things he doesn't want. Most games do this to waste people money, instead of just putting a fixed amount on the thing the player really wants.

He hoped the system wouldn't be merciless like those games developers.

Tate decided to check the next section, which was the elite movement skill.

[Skill currently locked. Host attributes are too low to activate skill. Host needs to work hard to improve his attributes]

Tate's expression turned ugly the moment he saw this, he was basically rewarded by the system with these skills, only for it to be locked!

Heartless!!! System!

Tate decided to check the skill out.

[Elite movement skill; Quickstep. Locked.

To unlock skill hosts must improve these attributes to the figure below.

Agility—(50)

Perspective— (20)

Intelligent—(20)

Quickstep allows Host to cover a large distance in a short time or to instantly appear in front of the opponent, very effective for quick attacks and surprise attacks. A necessary skill for Host! Make sure to work hard and unlock it!

5 orenda energy required to trigger skill.

Skill can be improved as well!]

Seeing the word 'work hard' every time was pissing Tate off, if this was a real game, he would be finding ways to hack it already, just because of those two words.

Damn, the system should've at least given him attribute points so he could match up with the requirements immediately.

The system didn't give him that because the system wants him to work hard.

Tate basically replied himself.

He was surprised to see the skill requires five orenda energy to activate, does this mean everytime or just once.

Tate believes it was every time, making it completely different from the basic movement skill. If he was to use it, he would have to use it wisely, not waste it anyhow.

His eyes moved to the skill again.

'So this is what intelligence and perspective are used for, I thought it would be something groundbreaking. It seemed to master high level skills or so, I would have to improve on my intelligence and Perspective.'

Tate found this understandable, but he was angry, because putting points on intelligence and perspective seemed like a waste in his eyes.

For this reason, this skill would have to wait.

Tate decided to check the normal skill. He had been eager to check this from the beginning, but he wanted to see what skill movements were all about in the system.

Not bad, he would say, certainly not bad.

[Normal fighting skill; Super Punch.

Host would be able to concentrate orenda energy on his fist to deliver a powerful punch, one that is totally different from regular punches.

5 orenda energy required to activate skill with zero cool down.

Skill can be used continuous without a stop, provided there is available orenda energy

Skill can be improved. Level up skill Host! Work hard!]

Tate didn't bother to read the last two words on the system message. He was happy that everything could be improved, however, everything revolved around his orenda energy, and it was expensive in his eyes. He would have to be smart in the arena so he doesn't end up using all his orenda energy without being able to bring his opponent down.

'This is one reason I must focus on my stats, if I could improve my stats to a great height, I could fight a strong opponent without activating any of these skills'

Tate could see the need to upgrade his agility and his strength, but he only gets five attribute points from the daily task, which seemed small in his eyes now.

He moved to the last reward the system gave him.

[Mega Skill; Rapid Punches. Locked.

To unlock skill host must improve these attributes to the figure below.

Strength—(30)

Stamina—(40)

Agility—(40)]

Without being told, Tate knew this would be locked as well, if the elite movement skill was locked, then this would definitely be and he wasn't proved wrong.

The system should've at least proved him wrong.

Tate was happy for unknown reasons that Agility was damn important, it was everywhere. It was part of the requirements in the elite movement skill and also here, proving that agility was more important than the rest attributes.

Tate was happy that the intelligence stats and the perspective stats were not included here, does this mean, only movement skills would require intelligence and perspective.

He wasn't sure about that, but for now, he believed that was the case. Although movement was important, but having raw strength wasn't all that bad.

Tate was basically convincing himself why he shouldn't improve on his intelligence and  perspective, he didn't succeed though, cos he was known to be a fast movement fighter, so he definitely loved the movements skills earlier.

Tate decided to check the skill summary.

[Rapid punches allows Host to deliver a series of punches in a short amount of time.

Skill requires 20 orenda energy to trigger, and a five minutes cool down is required before Host would be able to trigger skill again.

Skill can be improved too!]

Tate was stunned by the entire description.

Not only did the skill require a high amount of his energy, he still had to wait for five minutes before he would have to do another one, well he certainly would wait.

Since the skill required twenty orenda energy, it meant he would only be able to do it five times, so it wasn't something to waste anyhow.

Tate wished the skill wasn't locked, he desperately wanted to try it out, because the summary said only a little about it.

'Damn these lock of a thing, why can't everything be given for free'

Tate already knew the answer to that.

He wasn't the type to accept free things, growing up, he knew some free things had costly consequences, but seeing all these things in front of him, he wished he could acquire them instantly.

Although Tate had those thoughts, his desire to grow only heightened far beyond the ceiling of his room.

'I would work hard and become the greatest martial artist of all time!'

Tate took a deep breath before he decided to check the skills that the system tagged as unavailable.

His eyes widened in shock seeing the lists.

[UNAVAILABLE SKILLS

Zone Skill

Legendary Skill

God Skill]
