DINNER WITH NATALIE

[Ding!]

[The Special Mission is successfully finished!]

[You have been rewarded 30 EXP and 2 Lottery Tickets!]

[Ding!]

[You have been rewarded $30 for accomplishing 2 Special Missions in just 3 days!]

[Rewards will be sent to you shortly…]

"Nice!" Terrence grinned when he looked at the extra reward he got. That was an easy gain of money for him.

'Hmm… this system is giving me slow money, but at least it helps.' Terrence tilted his head to the side as he thought about it.

'Is this because I'm still low level that the rewards are still that low?' he wondered. 'Well, at least it increased compared to the $10 I got in the past.'

"You can go now, Terrence. You still have a date waiting for you." Edwin teasingly smiled at Terrence. He wiggled his brows.

"While me? I'll go fetch my wife so we can eat dinner together." Edwin added, boasting to Terrence.

"Yeah, Yeah," Terrence shook his head when he saw the boastful smile of Edwin. It was obvious that he was bragging about his relationship with his wife.

Edwin laughed at Terrence's response. "Don't worry, Terrence. I'm sure you'll know what I'm talking about soon. You haven't yet discovered how good it feels to be in a relationship. That's why you're acting that way."

"Well, how is it?" Terrence couldn't help but be curious. Edwin sounds as if he was in so much happiness by the way his eyes light up whenever he talked about his wife.

"Hmm… Let's start off with happiness. Bro, my wife is the best! She makes sure that I feel love and all. Then there's this feeling when she makes an effort for you and cares for you. And let's not forget about the great sex you'll be getting."

"…" Terrence stared at Edwin.

"What? It's true!" Edwin's eyes squinted as he looked at Terrence. "Don't tell me you're a virgin?" Edwin's jaw fell to the ground. He was genuinely shocked.

"… I'll go now." Terrence bid goodbye.

"Don't worry, Terrence! I'm sure you'll get laid soon!" Edwin shouted before Terrence could even leave the door.

"Just remember that other girls will either only make your lower or upper head hurt. However, a woman you love will make both of your heads hurt."

Terrence couldn't help but chuckle when he heard what Edwin said before he left.

It was as if Edwin was speaking based on his experience.

He looked at the clock on his phone and saw it was almost 6 p.m. They closed earlier since their items' stocks were low already.

They needed to save some stocks for tomorrow since restocks only occur once a week.

'Hmm, I wonder what my stats look like already.' Terrence couldn't keep track of all he had gained for the past few days.

When he saw that he was still a few meters from the coffee shop, Terrence decided to check his stats before meeting Natalie.

"It's still quite low. I will need to grind my EXP so that I can open up the [Shop] Tab." Terrence sighed.

He will need to look for new ways in how he could gain EXP other than accomplishing missions. He can't just depend on it.

"Were you bored while waiting?

Terrence smiled at Natalie as he arrived at the coffee shop. He instantly saw her since there were only a few customers inside that, he could count them by just his fingers.

"Oh my!" Natalie was startled when she heard a sudden voice from her side. Her face reddened when she realized that it was Terrence.

"Hi there," she smiled, hiding the embarrassment. She was so busy with her phone that she didn't notice the presence of Terrence on her side.

Terrence chuckled. "Hi," he uttered before taking a seat in front of Natalie.

"I didn't notice that you're there already." Natalie apologized before laughing. "It's because I didn't receive any messages from you. That's why I thought you were still working."

"I wanted to surprise you." Terrence lied.

He obviously forgot that he needed to message Natalie first. To add to that, his phone doesn't have any load with it, so it would be impossible for him to message her, too.

Natalie chuckled, hiding how shy she became with Terrence's answer. "By the way, what do you want to eat? It's my treat. Don't worry."

"Are you sure?"

"Yup! I told you that you should not worry about it. Don't feel guilty. Just think of it as a way of my payment for saving me." Natalie reasoned. It was a genuine decision for her to do this.

"Hmm… Fine then."

Natalie sounded as if she was determined to buy him dinner, so he couldn't do anything about it.

Terrence looked around. It was his first time going to this coffee shop, so he didn't know what to get.

"Oh," Natalie raised her hand, getting the attention of the waiter, who was on the side.

The waiter went to their side with a menu in his hand. He put two menus in the middle and said, "Good evening, Ma'am and Sir. Please take your time to look at our menu."

Terrence took the menu and skimmed through it, finding the food that best interested him.

"I'll take one truffle pasta with breaded chicken on the side," Terrence ordered.

"I'll take the same as him," Natalie quickly added. "And two orange juices for the both of us."

After they ordered, the waiter took the menu and bid goodbye to them.

"I hope you're fine now." Terrence saw that the bruises on Natalie's face were barely visible already. She looked fine, as if nothing had happened yesterday.

"Yes. When I got home, I immediately put ice compress on it so that it wouldn't get worse, and make-up really helped in covering them."

"Ohhh," Terrence nodded. "That's good then."

Natalie smiled and nodded.

"You should be careful more next time." Terrence stared at Natalie, who looked like she was in the middle of her thoughts.

"Yes, I will..." Natalie paused for a few seconds before continuing her words.

"I have a question for you, Terrence. Is it fine if I ask it?" Natalie looked away after she said it. Under the table, her legs were shaking a little bit from nervousness.

"Sure." Terrence agreed, intrigued by what Natalie would ask.

Natalie wet her lips before looking back at Terrence.

"Do you have a girlfriend?"
